YO, how's it going in here? Due to EXTREME laziness mainly (and getting over a summer cold, which sucked lots) I am finally back to blow the crap outta some bad flash and raise my B/P score some since I haven't in ages. I intend on trying to keep a one post a day thing with all the major clubs I'm in, so this would also include you fellas. Hopefully all has been well and these new people wanting to be accepted will hold their horses and wait for Tails to come back or for Crawford to take control of it being that Tails appointed him in charge while we're gone and such. Anyway, be seeing you fellas later, Capt. PowerPrower out for now! :D

I got a question guys. I notice that people get pissed off when others submit videos instead of animated cartoons and such. What do you guys think of this topic with the whole "Newgrounds is for flash animations" thing?

This is actually a pretty fair question. The general amount of Newgrounds users do feel that it should be for flash created works only. This is really a fair argument. Newgrounds was created soley for flash artists to show their work. It was not intended for people to record themselves doing somthing stupid and converting it to a .fla file. People do obviously submit such works, but few make it in the portal.

There is no true rule or guidline as to whether people may or may not submit personal videos. It can be quite annoying due to the fact that they are generally a low quality of twelve-year-olds playing like power rangers. I have seen very few entries of this type that have ever come out with much of a point or quality level. This will of course not stop people from making them though.

In the end, since Newgrounds has no set rules, it will come down to personal preference. You will have to decide for yourself whether to blam or protect it. There are already some floating around Newgrounds so if there is a good quality one to come through the portal, nothing wrong with keeping it. It is all just a case by case basis.

I know how the portal helps, I was just asking a question to start a conversation. But your response was very good. I myself have seen a lot of movies on the portal and my favorite of them is this one.

Well, i'm back. I got my laptop back, after installing a 4 year old wireless card from a crumbling toshiba; it'll be nice to start viewing incoming flash again. I'm definately in a policing mood; my TPCD t-shirt arrived today...
There was quite a few spammy submissions this morning, at least in my opinion.

I am a bit disturbed as to the lack of independance in this crew. So here I go on my little schpeil on "responsibility".

Here, we have a thing called the chain of command. If someone of authority is gone, and you do not know who to consult, make an executive decision, PREFERABLY with the acceptance of the others (don't just do something if everyone disagrees).

You are, for the most part, responsible people who know how this club operates. If you REALLY mess up, then don't sweat it, either Tails or myself will sort it out. But for Petes sake, take a little action you guys.

Point made: Don't wait for me or tails to tell you what to do, take some rational, thought out initiative and don't worry. If the decision is poorly thought out, me or tails will regulate it.
