I don't want to rejoin the RRC, it's too much effort lol, I know that if I rejoin I will be trying hard to maintain a 100% compleation record which I might not be able to do after a while. I hate people deleting their audio and flash so I lose reviews, I might rejoin at some point but if I do I'll have to total up my own score which I'm too lazy to do.

Yeah it would be nice if you did rejoin again. I'm still at 100%, but just like how you missed one I might eventually do it to. I hope it doesn't ever happen, but if it does then it does. I still want to see if I can stay 100% for as long as possible.

I absolutely hate it when people delete their movies. I doubt some of the stuff there is stolen and then removed so I'm sure it's mainly because people are removing there work, which makes me mad because I always seem to lose 2 audio reviews every other week and 1 flash review every other week.

Speaking of the RRC.. I have a few more to write. >.<

You could review all my work, I have no intention of ever deleting anything, haha. I can't bring myself to review much stuff, I did a little when I left the RRC but then fell into not doing much, especilly audio. I also like to get responces, but eh.

Yeah, I'm still pretty much still burnt out from reviewing, myself. I was thinking about re-joining the RRC, but I'm just not there yet. ;p If/when I do, I've decided that I'm not going try to maintain 100%. NEEDING to get every review done to keep a perfect record was really what made me get tired of reviewing. If I was just able to let a few slide when I was tired of writing and/or had other things to do, I think I would have enjoyed it for much longer. From what I can tell, that's probably why Shadow quit, too. You two were great members there, it'd be great if all three of us re-joined at some point. ;)

Lots of talk of reviewing... that is one thing I find very hard to motivate myself to do on here. That is mainly because of the standards I set when I review, making each one a long process, but I'd like to think each one is worth the effort. It takes a submission that has something special about it to make me review now. There was a time I ran a reviewing competition within the Barracks- if you hunt through the forums the thread is still there. Any keen reviewers who wish to resurrect it are welcome to, I don't have the time anymore.

My girlfriend is back up in the frozen north known as Scotland, so once again I'm free to B/P a little more. I'm still job hunting though, so that may not last long!

I know exactly how you feel. I rarely review anymore, unless I see something that leaves enough of an impression on me to write one. In the last month or so I've changed my methods about and I've found a system of reviewing that I like, but as with you it carries the downside of being time-consuming, and I'm a bit lazy ;P

Good luck with the job hunt, I know several guys who are finding it tough at the moment, especially in the current economic climate. Hopefully you won't have too much trouble though.

I never got much motivation to review, I still don't have it either. Most of the time I'm just lazy and trying to focus on getting more points. But also sometimes I have some problems with coming up with a decent review, I know nothing about making flash so I can't really help with some of the more advanced things on how to improve someones work.

Also have trouble trying not to overdo it and rant on, or just even coming up with a long enough review.

Oh well, once I hit sup commander one of these days, I might rejoin the review request club, and also try to focus on reviewing stuff more than just voting and moving on to the next flash.

Who knows, really.

I know i was the same with Review Request Club in the end it was about getitng 100% ,rather then being fun it got to be a bit of a chore as you may know from my posts. Alas i sort of miss it i have written some brillaint reviews, my lack of effort now has slipped badly. Not written a review since 7th September a long time for me i have never gone that long ,without doing one. My brain needs to be doing it again not pushing myself like before but trying to do some good ones ,maybe not all the list. Anyway keeping track of stolen stuff is hard with so much getting through.

It's a great game, but I'm just lacking the time to play on it at the moment. I'm still infatuated with Gemcraft and I have Spore to keep me going nicely. I have promised myself that I will get to this game and complete it, since it looks so damned good.

The issues with the lack of free time have hit home, sadly - this course is keeping me away from my beloved computer games, but it will allow me some time soon :)

The game that I have been playing a lot and has taken a lot of time away from me in the last week is this. I just find it addicting and every time I'm done with all of my work and it gets to be late at night I play it before I go to bed. I got to level 61 on one level.

I played one level of that game and got bored, it just didn't have much sticking power for me, it was pretty much like all the other games like it. I found the Mastermind game a little more intresting as well as some other games. I'm kind of sick of tower defence games now though.

I know what you mean. I spent 12 hours (6AM - 6PM) at a stupid robotics competition (where I did nothing but sit in the stands and cheer), then I came home and was too tired to do anything but watch Alien and a couple of other shows.

And now, with the PS3 gaming feast of all feasts coming up, I'm going to have no money and no NG time left. There are like 5 games I want coming out in October alone. I'm excited, but some games are going to have to wait before I can get them.

I was out celebrating a friend of my girlfriend's birthday on Thursday night, was working on the course all Friday night and Saturday was busy working on a friend's house, before socialising with family. Great fun, but a little expensive

Happy Thanksgiving to all Canadian Guards. I'm back from a month in Germany. I missed Oktoberfest by 1 day. Damn military exercise. Got to see Dachau and Munich though. And Nearly stepped on a few mines and old artillery shells...

Yeah that's the biggest thing about the game really. It's boring up to about level 10 and then several thousand balloons will come by all in the same level and that's when it gets fun and challenging. For the longest time my roommate and I didn't think we could get past level 58, but I finally got to level 61 and when he used my same strategy he got to level 60.

Well there were a couple of stolen reviews on it by the time that I got around to looking at it, but sadly I wasn't on to blow my whistle when you posted this. Just bad timing I guess.

Well anyone here a fan of the Jerry movie? i love it its from last year but it rocks finanlly i written a review for it i gave it 8/10 ,as it was a little on the long side ad the ending good but sad to see that happen. I like the new movie as well. Finding lots of abusive reviews today been looking for link one been removed which is cool http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/46 4111either by the author or deleted. Still not sure about the ones from here http://moefeeesh.newgrounds.com/ the site does no match.

Well if it makes you feel any better it isn't actually singling you out, it is in fact a rather clever bit of programming, even if it is exploited negatively. Whoever clicks it will see "___ is a fucking faggot" with your username where that blank is.

What's even more impressive is that as a test I logged out and watched it, to see if it would screw with the programming. No dice, instead it read "You are a fucking faggot".

Ha, yeah I tested the same thing out last night.

I tried the same exact thing.

Well this is a very old programming trick that people use to do with away messages on AIM. They would put the code into their away message and whoever read it would get something like, "RohantheBarbarian, I slept with your mother." I got into trouble with it one time when a person didn't know that it was code that used everyones name just not theirs and they freaked out on me. They wouldn't even believe that it was a code.

No, you're just reading the cynicism of Phantom.

I went to Canada back in 1988, it was wonderful. I do plan to go again at some point, but I've got to get myself a well paid job and make the plans properly. I want to drive east coast to west coast over about 2 months and then fly back, possibly via Denver, to catch an Ice Hockey game or two :P

Great, now I look like a muppet. I use to love watching Ice hockey when on holiday, I can only find it on tv at about 3 am here in the U.K. No sport is worth being up that late.

Self flattery is not a welcome principle of the barracks.

Anyway, Halloween page pattern is up for a while now, it's close to last year's, but I think it is a tad different.

The layout is actually bad. It was probably done fast because the NG's staff seems to be very busy and layouts don't seem to be very important and I agree with them. There's most important stuff to finish then layouts.

I'll explain why the layout is bad. First of all the left and right layout of NG's with those halloween banners are cut off for me because i have a 22 inch computer screen and on the left banner there's this line that sicks out. It's not really a big deal but hey i like to point things out :)
