Anyway, on my side, I don't really know what else to say, besides that I have B/Ped quite alot since I'm back here. I also looked for my Whistle improvement, and after many "Gold Mines" I found out yesterday, I finally got that Gold Whistle! Now maybe I'll go a bit easier on this, before a long way to do to reach the final Deity Whistle.

And about life around, I had to fix some things, which explains why I didn't posted here in the EGB since a few days. Also, after so much wait, today was finally the first day for me at the college... and... my... this is really different from what I expected to see... Yea, quite alot nicer in fact.

So for anyone who cares I was promoted in real life to the rank of staff sergeant in the Air Force. Or more accurately I have a line number for staff sergeant. It was my first time testing for it too. It kind of sucked that my buddy only missed it by 6 points though. But I promised to treat him real good when I'm his supervisor! Lol!

We were on a cruise ship for a week starting at Anchorage, made visits to Juneau,
Ketchikan, and Skagway

I'm just not active as I used to to be back in the days. All I really can do it get around 20 B/P, review mod, and lurk the forums for 5 minutes. Life and school has taken over. :(

But what I was leaning towards re:faggyness was the quality of the BBS. It's always been a cesspool, but sometimes not even chlorine can fix it...

In my opinion, the option I left up there is what I think we should do. No offense to Sentio; he's been a great member of the EGB for a long time now, being extremely helpful. I'd agree with both of you on this, the role has never been especially well defined and I can't say in the time that I have filled it I have done a great deal as a 'Relations Officer', rather I've used the role as a means of gaining some say within the Barracks and being able to help with recruitment and key decisions within here. Certainly I've been active and helped sort out some messes in here during periods when many of the other senior members have been absent, and I'd like to be able to continue doing this should I be around during a problem period. I'm not going to be more active any time soon saying that, but as you so kindly say, I have been her a long time and know how the place runs as well as anyone.

So I would completely agree with the 'tribunal' idea- it gives all of the senior members some say in decisions and doesn't mean they have to remain active all the time to maintain their positions (and I don't think there are any older members that can say they have been active constantly throughout their time here). Of course I'd love to be a part of this still, reduced activity isn't no activity, and I still feel a sense of responsibility for the smooth running of the club.

I won't be on much in the next week (my girlfriend is visiting at the moment so I'm, err... busy), but after that I'll be around a bit more. Still looking for a job so who knows how that will impact my free time...

Hey, I have a question for you guys, (and gals if there are any). I have had plans for years now to join the military, and now I am finally old enough to do that. I am planning on starting in the national guard.....

But the thing is, I can't decide what branch in the military; I was leaning toward the army, but my father was in the army and he said the best idea would be to join the Air Force...

Well, honestly, I don't know exactly what to do.... I know I eventually want to join the FBI, but I just don't know if I really want to go to the military; I know it would look good on my resume, but... is it worth the risk?

Your opinions would be helpful.

I draw ever closer, especially with a total of 60 last week, one of my higher scores. Unfortunately, I'll be losing NG time, as school approaches and the summer homework I left for the last minute will be taking up my time. But it's due on the 8th, so I've got some time to dick around. Hopefully that dicking will get me past Heaven in the rankings. I'll be happy then.

Air Force, no offense to any current/past members, is for the pussies. In all reality, only a small portion of Air Force members actually fly planes; most of it is ground crews, maintenance, tower and various other things.

Let's put it this way; I took a tour of McGuire Air Force Base, which hosts roughly 140,000 people (8,000 civilians, and 84,000 Reserve/Guard), and out of the 140,000 people, there were roughly 20 pilots. Granted, this isn't a war zone, but that's only .0001% of the total base, and only .004% of the active duty stationed there. The numbers can't be that much better in the Middle East. Which means if you want a high chance of survival, join the AF

If I were you, I'd learn a few languages first, then just go for the FBI. I'm sure that a couple years in the service would look nice, but they want people who know languages, not how to shoot. It's easier to teach you how to shoot than a new language.

Look into some of the more obscure languages of the Middle East, Africa, and Asia. At the National Youth Leadership Conference, a few retired and current generals and such talked about it. I forget the languages they said, but I never heard of them before.

Well, I already know Spanish, and a little Vietnamese, and I talked to a State officer, he said a good idea for the FBI would be sociology or psychology; along with English classes. But I really want to learn Arabic

Anyway, digress a little from the roster, although it was magnificent. The point I would like to make now is regarding the Officer "Elder's Council" Slash suggested; and it is, that I support it As long as it is done with consideration to the previous hierarchy of the Officers. Duration of stay is helpful, but merit should count for more in my opinion. Well, you know how it all works too.
