Looks like I've been a little too hasty with the old whistle, I went from Bronze to Garbage overnight. I'm working to get it up to at least normal, hopefully back to bronze, but I'm wondering if negative points count more than positive ones. If this is the case, it sorta explains the drop.

I'm very sorry ,it really sucks getting a garbage whistle ,but my advice it to flag submissions from high quality flashes like on the front page or from this week list. Go the last page that what i do. Aviod spam flashes and alts made, for the purpose of abusive reviews. I love Rage thread you will get there ,dont loss faith. It took me about a week too get out of garbage whistle status.

Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it. I might just do that.

Anyway, I was asked by TailsPrower of the NGPD what happens if a member's whistle drops to a garbage? He wanted to know if you got kicked out. I wasn't sure if there was a policy here, so I said that as long as you're working to get your whistle back up, you should be fine.

Last I checked ,I don't think we kick people out for such a thing, it does however mean lack of good judgment, however, as Barry LePatner said: "Good judgment comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgment."

I think if a user wanted to improve, and gave it effort, no harm will come from him by any one or thing in this group.

I haven't posted here in a while (yeah, again), but I've been busy... on Newgrounds! I discovered that now I can vote on the monthly awards, and I haven't watched many of the Flashes selected there, so I had to watch many Flashes in 3 days. I just cast my votes, so from now on I should be able to post more. =)

So... who here can vote for the monthly awards?

As for my B/P pace... I don't know. Yesterday, I had no internet for a while (like 2 hours), and after it came back, I missed around 20 points, which sucks. However, my pace shall raise next week, because my winter break will start!

In other news - I've been watching the epic Wimbledon final (Nadal beat Federer, OHYEAH), and I'm now too tired to do the activity roster. To be honest, I'm probably going to discontinue it for the time being. It's not essential, and I have stuff going on IRL that is kinda sapping my energy to be doing an extra roster.

The B/P roster will be delivered as usual on Tuesday.

Yeah, I looked through your list and I thought most were useless, though I did find a few good ones mixed in. As far as for those in Garbage my best advice would be to be selective and don't just flag everything posted in the abuse thread. Never a good idea. Also review mods are always happy to answer questions.

Hi there well i just checked and i can vote for the monthly ones too Sir-nuts. Last month strangely i did not have ,the option. Loads of quality submissons best watch them ,all if i have time. Well annoying thing happening i lost one of my reviews ,called RIP father 2008 because Kortz had his account deleted. Anyone know why i not looked at the bbs yet.

It really depends on what I have to do, if I have last weeks roster it can take up to an hour or so but if I have to do it from scratch then it might take up to two hours.

Ugh, doing it from scratch must be pretty hard. I'd take like 3 hours to do it, since I get distracted easily.

Everything is done manually - the stat pull, the calculations, and the data entry. Stero made a program to do the calculations when he did the roster, but both Josh and I prefer to do it manually. I'm not even sure how much time the program would take off the overall time it takes to do the roster, because I do the calculations and data entry at the same time for each user as I go down the list, so it's not a huge deal.

I think that trial periods probably wouldn't make a difference, as there's the chance that someone would only act differently to impress us...so unless you fuck up something fierce, lol, yes, you're in. Validated you on the forums, too.

Eh, well, there were several reasons. I had just graduated highschool at the time and was busy starting college. I'm also ashamed to admit that at the time I was swept up in the wondrous, magical dreamland that is a new relationship. Which can really make you numb to everything else around you, sometimes...
I was just very busy at the time, I suppose. I never really wanted to leave Newgrounds, it just kinda happened. I thought about coming back a few times in 2007 but thinking about how much I missed and how far behind I was (..how many deposits I've missed....) Really discouraged me from doing so.
One day I just decided to swing by the site for the first time in around 2 years. Seeing the redesign for the first time was pretty amazing, so many changes.. :P That really got me excited about coming back. After lots of searching through old bbs posts, I found that my account was still there. It took me about 3 days to remember my password, but when I did, well, here I am! lol

That seems crazy that you do the stats manually. That seems like it would take awhile or be easy to make mistakes, but I'm glad you guys take your own time to do it.
