No really a victory of the Barracks, but a victory for everyone. If it continued, it would become a huge +1 post count place. Also, the second thread creator (Corky52) didn't accept my opinion, he didn't want to debate about it. Still, good thing that it got locked.

I know I completely agree with you it was for the good of NG that that thread was locked. BlueHippo is one of the most fair and active forum mods in my opinion, its a good thing we have him around this place or it would surely go to hell very quickly.

Good to hear General, keep it up! With a job, girlfriend, and finals coming up it's hard to get on Newgrounds and protect the Portal, but I'll try and do my best. It would be nice to finally reach the final rank so I'll be aiming towards that.

I caught that myself. It has been marked now for review. I recently leveled up and got a promotion to boot as well. I dont have much to say but I am going to uni to make something of my wretched life. Nice to see you are all enjoyed Pico day (I was at work, booo). some quality subs went through but I bet theire was just as much spam.

Roster notice:

I've set Joshiwa to work on Tuesday's upcoming roster, so he can get a feel for it. I imagine we'll be doing it the same way as Stero and I used to, where we alternate the roster duty between us each week. As it'll be his first time doing a roster, let him know (in a nice way, don't be an asshole about it) if he's made any little mistakes or anything, as that's how we learn. I'm sure he'll do a great job, though :)

I'm pretty sure that the next update, which is due any day now will show a marked drop in my pace, as I've been away in the Lake District for about 4 days. Getting back at about mid-afternoon today was great, as I've finally returned to my computer and can get back on the wagon of statwhoreishness.

Well, you still have Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and some of Tuesday to make up a bit of pace. I've had a reasonable week so far - I'm sitting at about the 55/day mark for pace, which I'm pleased with. Of course, If it wasn't for the past 2 days being kind to me, I'd be nearer 30/day.

In the place where the general concept of the awards and how they work Tom says "the 2000 active users" who helped choose the submissions. Who comprises this list? Is it the top 2000 b/pers? Or top 2000 experience users?

It's the top 2000 users who are most active in depositing their EXP for the month. There's a fair few inactives in the actual top 2000 EXP users, though, so it usually runs over to include people up to about rank #3000 or so.

Yes that is what they do. They make sure the icons and forum signature pictures are appropriate for this site.

Sounds like a good idea. I think that the NGDD does these kinds of things on a regular basis like review contests, b/p contests things like that. So you could get some potential ideas from them if you'd like. Whatever it is I'm ready for it!

Just a quick heads up for you - you might be wanting to head to the Where is / How to? Forum. That's where most of the questions are asked and answered.

If a thread is inactive for time like that, a bump will come along soon, especially in a thread that is as active as this one. You'll probably get an answer quicker there as well.

Just did mine. Couldn't really think of much to write for this month, it's been pretty uneventful other than Pico day. Oh well, I guess that's (in part) why the Barracks has been slightly less active of late.

I think that with Wade Fulp thread that spam is getting blammed, For example Orangebeef submitted a crappy spam flash and it got blammed here http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/43 7977. I know its only one flash ,but its all makes a diffrence. Im sure before the thread this would have passed judgement but great work.

But look at the e-mail: bsmart.ru. And with his username "bsmart", it looks to me like he's the owner or manager of that site, and is posting some of the games from the site here to try to increase his audience.

If you vote a zero or one on a submission, but before it goes through the whole judgement process and the author removes it, do you get a blam point? or no point?
