Today is a real sad day for me now My favorite hangout has been locked :'( Hopefully they will make a new one but I doubt it though. But on another note how was everyone else day today? other then this I been ok B/P as you guys already know has been real slow. it is so slow now that my EXP ranks is moving far faster then my B/P rank. Nothing more fair. Since The Lucky 7 Crew decided to completely spam the topic, people only complaining about getting garbage whistles, loads of agreement posts etc... started to appear. I thought it would reach 1000 pages, but people only spammed the topic and even the review moderatos wanted it locked.

As for my day, it hasn't been one of the best ones. My brothers are annoying me like never before, I can't wait untill they grow a little more and move from here. Seriously, they're a pain in the ass when they team up to bully me.

To be honest, I know CaptainBob said in his lock message that there may be a new one, but what would the point be? It would essentially be the same thread, which would eventually lead to it being locked for the same reasons.

The thread was basically overrun by noobs who wanted good whistles, who didn't care about that the whistle system was originally implemented to help remove abuse, with a whistle level as a bonus - not the other way around.

Anyway, It's a good thing it's been locked.

The thread would have the same point, but it would be diferent. I don't think the moderators would let the forum drown like the old one did. In my opinion, the should have been a rule like this:
"You can only post here if you have at least one link with at least one abusive review. No agreement only posts."
If they create that rule and ban, or at least warn, who doesn't follow that rule, the thread would be a sucess. There should also be a no spam rule.

Yeah, B/P has been terrible today, and yesterday.

I agree, it has been really bad, although it's starting to get better now. The problem is that I see lots of high-sized Flashes coming, and when I vote them, they have already passed judjement. Also, I've reached 1600 Blams. I know it isn't really an achievement, but it looks good!

I also remember that, before, the thread used to grow about 3/4 of page per day. In it's final moments, it could grow about 2 pages a day, one page of pure discussion and not even one link. At least, the +1 post count people won't have where to run now. =)

Yeah, today most users only care about status, not the original reason it has. Seriously, I have a Deity whistle, and it's very usefull. Everytime I see an unsuitable movie here, I blow the whistle on it and, like a magic trick, it dissapears. It's very usefull against crap, it's like a powerfull toilet flush.
Anyway, It's a good thing it's been locked.

I know, the problem will be start from square-one. Will the new thread be better than the last one? Will there be a new thread?

Meh, alright. I had the written portion of my history final to do today, and albeit easy, it still was 2 essays to write in ~70 minutes of class. Plus, rather than just snowing, it was a "wintry mix" (an orgy of rain and snow falling form the sky) today. But other than that, it was a decent day.

Wow I can't believe they locked it. I know you really loved that thread and have so for a very long time. I also had a small part in that thread at one stage, remember the good old days when you and I used to make huge posts contains hundreds of links. Too true... unless you are me and typing this at 4:15AM... in fact I am doing very well at being nocturnal at the moment. Fortunately I don't have to get up in the mornings as it's exam period, and I don't have any until next week- then of course I am screwed, with two exams at 9:30AM. Though I am toying with becoming completely nocturnal and just staying up all night before them, sleeping all day. Less time to forget everything while I sleep...

It has picked up quite nicely now though- I'm still going solidly at around 60-70 points per day this week (not including Sunday as I missed all of that). Best I've done in a long long time. More amazingly, I'm getting almost equal blams and protects- its a very long time since I've been able to say that!

Hopefully all the spamming will be sorted out now. I don't go in there much to be honest, I tend to just whistle what I see rather than actively hunt it down, but without it I suspect a huge number of people will stop whistling altogether, and that doesn't do much good for NG.

One and a half weeks left of this revision/exam period, meaning lots of potential B/Ping time as I'm glued to this desk anyway, after that it is back to reality. Heh, I did that once. I was up until around 8-9am every morning, and then I'd sleep until about 4pm. It got quite depressing after a while, because all I'd ever see is darkness, and I rather like the daylight.

I got screwed over by a spam alt as well. It the review mods weren't supposed to give negative points though, but rather clear the flags without any points. I went from gold back down to normal. Most people that got caught up in that were just complaining and trying to get the admins to restore their whistles for them, which I thought was ridiculous. I just started flagging again and had my gold back in about a week.

You should be alright. Once you're out of garbage it's no problem.

I'm not sure what caused Wade to lock the Rage Thread. According to the mods it was spam?

Hope the new thread won't get spammed again.

Wade didn't lock it, CaptainBob originally locked it, then Wade unlocked it. It was originally locked though because there weren't enough guidelines in the thread itself, and it became something of a 'Post count +1' hangout.

Heh, that's cool. I have so much free time these days, but it will be drastically cut down soon when I stop working part-time and start working full time. I'm hoping I can get to Captain before that happens, but I'll have to B/P fast.

Nice one, I remember when I broke into the top 1,000 - you only needed just over 3,000 B/P to get into the top 1,000 back then.

In some instances, yeah, but I think some people who post regularly in that thread tend to get carried away with their whistle status, which is fine up until the point when people start abusing the system to get a better whistle. I got caught in the crossfire of flagging a spam alt's reviews, and my whistle went down from Gold to Normal. I've gotten it back up now, but it was irritating that myself and others had to suffer because someone tried to cheat the system, and also because the review moderators messed up.

Thanks, the portal has indeed been better recently. I picked up a tasteful 103 B/P yesterday - although I couldn't record the last 4 on my NG Log as I fell asleep, so it only shows up as 99, and the other 4 carried over to todays stat loggage.

Well, today sucked for getting points for me. I had to go to work from 11-3PM, so I couldn't get in any before or during that time. Then I wanted to play PS3, so I did that until I remember that I was going with my friends to see Cloverfield at 6:50. So then I ended up here.

I still got 2 days, though.

So holidays are over & Stero kept me at bay, well done man. Had a bad week this week B/P wise had people to do, stuff to do. But I'm planning on B/Ping over the college term, but as I haven't got my results yet, I don't know. So everyone congrat Stero, he wins :P

This is sort of Ironic, but last night at around 3:00 PST, the portal picked up quite a bit and had around 10-13 flashes going through at a constant rate, but right now in the dead of day there are only two flashes under judgment. This is so annoying! I have to go to work in about an hour so hopefully this will pick up soon *Sigh* Oh well : )
