I agree. It's very not-sexy right now with that gaudy number there. So many things with the new system are sleek and styling, but then they stick that thing up there and make it look like it's something from 1996 on the internet. A Meter would be cool.

Everyone here is right; the number should be a little smaller. But I think it still looks cool, and it's easier to tell what the reviewer gave the flash.

And Aldlv, I like the new Author's response section; although it's harder to read than the classic yellow indented text, I think this new version makes it look nicer.

Also, I have to agree with the opinions of everyone else when saying that the big numbers do look sort of dumb, only because they are all in a block style. It should be more smoothed out. It is a good idea though to have the review layout in that style(in my opinion).

Well, well, look who's back... ME!

I'm finally back from my vacations on the beach. And I must admit: I'm half-black now (no racism). I went to the beach twice a day, staying about 3 hours there per "go" there. With sunblocker, a hell lot of them actually. Well, it's better being almost-black than being full-red.

I'm still reading the older pages (839 and above), but I have some questions:

Ok, I was a bit surprised about the new reviews layout and I have to admit: it will take a while to get used to it, just like when the redesing came out. But I think it looks better, even with that huge score showing there.

Did I miss anything else?

Somehow people used a combination of Firefox and Firebug to add people to their Flash without their consent. People added Phillips, Krinkles and a few others.

Well, I've been putting off requesting to join this club for a while now, as I wanted to up my B/P rank a bit first, but I suppose that now is as good a time as any to ask.

I've read a sticky that contained all the rules, alliances, officers, etc., although I can't seem to locate it at this point in time, so I'm unsure as to where I found it in the first place. I'm clear on all the rules anyway.

I'm at the rank of Praporshchik (soon to be Lieutenant), Have a Gold whistle, and I'd say that in general I'm a fairly intelligent user, at least compared to some of the idiots on the site.

So go ahead and judge whether or not I am worthy to join this club.

I disagree, I've seen a lot that's been going down in the Portal lately. I picked up 65 bps just from last night. It's just the quality of things that are getting into the portal are what's bothering me. I've seen some real garbage getting in the past couple of days.

Yeah, last week I noticed a drastic change in pace in the Portal. It really slowed down my venture into the top 300 B/Pers, too, but I made it in the end.

I can only hope it won't take me too long to reach Lieutenant, as the rank 'Praporshchik' is such an odd one. I predict I'll be rid of it in a few days, though.

Anyway, I'm pleased to be joining this club. :)

Thanks! I'm hoping to be a fairly active poster in here - I normally post in the Wi/Ht forums, but they get quite slow a lot of the time, which means I resort to posting in General (urgh) and end up calling a lot of people idiots.

Frankly, I don't know why I haven't joined more clubs. The only other one I'm in is the English Gentleman's club, which is a great club. I just wish there was a bit more activity in there.

I had my girlfriend visiting the entire week, which explains my slow pace (not that it has been fast in a while anyway), can't explain everyone else though. Maybe it is just the time of year, with exams etc for a lot of people (including me...)

Awesome thanks, just had a fantastic week with my girlfriend, and now have a couple of weeks with just two exams to keep me occupied. Granted they will most likely be really tough, but it does mean I'm free to B/P (thanks to the brilliant portal guard) while I am revising. And once those exams are done I will have three whole days with no work at all to be doing- it has been well over a year since I was last able to say that =D.
