Hey guys, uhhh listen this kinda sucks for me and I need some help. My whistle level just went to garbage, and I don't know how because I've been using the guide to flagging abusive reviews and I guess maybe I just flagged too much in one day? I don't know what happened but I remember reading in this group that you'd be able to help me out. I don't flag reviews unless I feel they're abusive, I swear on it, and I'd really like to get my whistle level back up again. Thanks in advance...

And who's better than Adam Phillips? At what? Animating? Not many are even close. rtil is great. TooMuchSpareTime (TmsT) is great. But as far as story telling there are a LOT of people better than he is. He makes cool characters but his stories are lacking.

well.. there are a lot of guy that post some non abusive on rage's gift topic...
yes... a lot...
some advise about it...
1. think twice if the review is abusive...
2. take a look to the whistle of the guy that make the post
3. if there are just one or 2 reviews you consider abusive... think again... maybe you can see them in a different 'non abusive' way...
4. If it's a gold mine... hurry...

and... the other thing you can do... is search them by yourself...
you can just take a look to some random submisions..
try this
go to... http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/list.ph p?page=573&which=top50
or any other page...
and take a look to any submission... it will be better if the submission have a not so good score...

or you can try to search them by google... but I'm not so sure how to do it...
maybe trying to find abusive words...

Rage's Gift is a great tool, but you HAVE to be selective. If the post is just a link to a page and you go there don't blindly mark anything as the abusive reviews could already be gone. Hecll, they delete reviews in 5 minutes very often, so you have to be active in that topic to use it well.

People saying "this flash sucks because the graphics suck' is not abusive. be sure not to mark them as such.

mark things that say "You're an asshole" or "you suck" or anything with a link.

The question is, what are the exact requirements? Because many spam flashes pass well above 1.60...hell, most of the big guns easily pass 2.00.

Regardless of the flash in question, the spam problem still exists. Over time, maybe this will force a change in the ways of Newgrounds, but we have to believe it will work and vote fairly to continue this.

True, but it does put pressure on them to get as many mass voters as possible to the portal when they release a flash. The only problem I see with that, is that authors will go back to using only 2-3 user names, and rely on the big names to get a flash passed.

Wow, I just came on thinking about doing the update and its been done. Thanks for doing that for me. Its been really hard lately to find any time to do something I want to. Sorry for not replying to all your PM's everyone, for the last week I have had basically no time to socialize on Newgrounds. Also, apart from all the shit thats been making me busy, Guitar Hero 3 came out on Wednesday and well, when I get free time, I like to enjoy myself a little.

Anyways, I probably would have been rushing to get the update done today since I am incredibly tired, party last night till 8, work from 9 till 12, sleep until 7, tennis till 1 and now I am going out to the wrestling since they are in Melbourne.

Hectic shit really! Anyways enough about me, thanks for the update aldlv, you have done a really good job, all manually done too, reminds me of the old days of doing the update!

Exams start on Thursday and than I have 2 weeks of year 11 classes. Luckily after that I have 8 weeks of holidays, so I sure wont be missing updates then!

Yeah, the Portal was a bit slow today. When I entered it today there was not even one submission under judgement! And I want to become a Corporal (that's why I've been blam/protecting like crazy), but how am I going to do that with not even one submission under judgement?
I wish I could contribute with the portal, but I can't animate (and I swear I've tried).
