That's what I was thinking, only don't give it all to the mods; there's potential abuse to be found. Have a "Black List"; known spammers with their alts and IP addresses. Every time they submit something, and it passes, it gets checked by at least 3 mods and 1 Admin (so there isn't any abuse). If they find that it isn't just some picture with a song playing or whatever, it can stay.

I know there's ways around that, but it makes it almost not worth it to submit flash for them.

Also, it wouldn't even have to be forever as after only a few short weeks would people start realising that they only get to keep their pressious B/P points by blamming the crap, not letting it pass the portal.

It seems all the spammers are returning from what i've been hearing. Maybe when newgrounds starts running low on memory Wade and Tom will start deleting shit? I want to announce that I am coming back to the EGB, and that I will try to take up some form of position if there needs to be one fulfilled. Also, does anyone know how the whistle system will work anymore? I can't seem to use mine when I see an inappropriate Flash in the portal, and it really tears me to see them get away with it. To any new members of the barracks, I guess hi will have to do until can get better acquainted with you. Yup, there is a lot of Teddy's chain letters, they are getting on my nerves and it seems that after flagging a lot of these for the last 2 days I haven't been killed by an eyeless 7 years old boy.

Tom said sometime last week so any day probably. If you mean how it works it still works the same but review mods cant delete stuff yet. It's a redesign problem that hasn't been fixed yet or they just haven't updated it yet ad it wont work with the new system. Not 100% sure but it'll be up in a week probably.

Yes it's a myspace or youtube fad that they brought over here. People are just being dumbasses and posting them since shit can't be deletd yet. Give it a week and the mods will start banning and deleting that crap. It's mostly just idiots and alts don't mind it it'll be gone soon enough.

I've been trying to get GOLD forever now. It's like walking thru mud or something. I've had a silver whistle for at LEAST 1 1/2 years. I just don't get it.

Also, as for whistles it'll be some time before anyone gets points again. At least until they fix the review mod powers as for right now they can't delete reviews. Maybe once they do, I'll get my gold because I've marked a lot abusive in the last month or so.

The same thing happened after the VATech shooting and the one thing that disappoints me most is not only does NG allow it, it's basically a welcome sight.

NG was built on clubbing seals and stuff like that, but I almost with there was some sort of line drawn.

I had actually contact Tom about it during the VATech shit asking him how people are possibly getting review banned during that. I figured that an inciteful Flash is LOOKING for inciteful reviews, so if you give one, it's EXACTLY what the author wants. Why delete it?

He actually told be that was a good point and he'd bring it up.

But this stuff shows me how bad the people are here on NG. Not only is this horribly offensive Flash made, but it passes the portal.

NG was built on clubbing seals and stuff like that, but I almost with there was some sort of line drawn.

Plus it's just a game about killing stuff it's not based on real events. I mean sure seals have probably been clubbed but 9/11 is a real thing.

I had actually contact Tom about it during the VATech shit asking him how people are possibly getting review banned during that. I figured that an inciteful Flash is LOOKING for inciteful reviews, so if you give one, it's EXACTLY what the author wants. Why delete it?

Eh i wouldn't review ban them if someone made that flash and i saw it during that time i'll bet money i woulda said something about it. It's not the "mature" thing to do but when it just happens to do it thats just messed up. They should have just deleted their reviews not banned them.

He needs to enforce rules against this kinda stuff. Not just about america he can do it about other countries too.

I was pretty mad about that whole thing. I wouldn't say i hate newgrounds even alittle i just hate what people get away with. Clock day was just spam this was hateful spam and shouldn't have been allowed they should add rules to prevent that kinda stuff.

To all this talk about spam and whatnot, I believe it started when the redesign happened.

I guess most spam groups thought that more people would sign up or come here, and released more spam. Now that they see their spam is passing, they're releasing more of it.

Well, I know I get fed up with all the spam and hate flash from time to time, but I always get back on track by watching some of the cool stuff that comes thru the portal.

I mean, when it comes right down to it, NG is full of extremely talented artists and people with incredible animating skills and funny or exciting stories. Not to mention some of the cool games that come thru.

So, yes, there will always be asshats, especially right now, but the great talent outshines those tards when it comes to the front page and favorited artists and Flash, so fuck them.

That's why God make NG Favorite Flash...so we can enjoy it time and time again! For example, the Timewaster is a great, great, GREAT game that just looks awesome, even though it is so simple...

Ehh...trust me. You'll outlast them, as they'll get tired of submitting the same crappy shit. You, in the meantime, will enjoy the good flash that comes on the Portal, as it will, for years to come (unless you get bored, too). Either way, they can only persist so long before they get tired of their stupid games.

So yeah, I've been gone for a while, 'cause I've been just way too busy with work (and pining for the iPhone). In fact, if anyone care, I updated my blog with a fun little critique on the iPhone and my stupid saga in trying to obtain one (since I can't exactly afford it...).
