Sterockicy's Official Request

Ok I am going to annouce this now officially.

In three weeks I will be leaving the state and heading to the centre of Australia for a school camp. As you probably know, the middle of the desert does not have internet connection nor does it have any computers (as far as I know). So I will need body from the EGB to do the fortnightly update for me.

Doing the update for the EGB is a great priveledge and is a great way to gain some respect and recognition. I am looking for a trusty user to make this update for the EGB just for the week I will be away. The date to do the update is the Tuesday the 3rd of July. This will be the only time you will need to do it because I will be back before the next one is due.

As some of you know, I have created a some what automatic system that gets the job done a fair bit faster.

If you are interested in applying for this temperary position you must be willing to give up AT LEAST one hour of your day to do it and you must also be dedicated to finishing it and properly.

I am making this post now because it will take a while for me to teach you how to correctly use the excel program I have made and what else is involved in the process.

If you are interested in taking on the responisibility of creating the Barracks update for one week please PM me including any information to why you think you would be good at it. Also, if you have a hotmail address or just a plain email address, enclose it so that if you are chosen I will be able to send you step by step information to teach you the process.

The EGB is counting on you for this update. Are you willing?

I've spen the weekend getting brusied and battered and having a great time playing cricket (and losing both games)

Still, 1 catch, 7 runs and a few grass burns from diving on the pitch will do little to dampen my spirit.

I really ought to start playing cricket again in the future- I used to play at school and really enjoyed it, but switched to playing tennis in the Summer after a few seasons. My proudest moment was top scoring in a match for the school (with an incredible 3 runs! Yeah, we weren't too good).

I won't mind doing my duties afterwards. Just as long as the cake isn't anything like coconut or anything like that. Or something strange, like if it's a chocolate cake, covered in strawberry frosting. Which isn't bad, but I just find that weird.

I've been on my summer break now for the passed 2 weeks now, and was hoping to get into the the new roster, with a pretty high B/P rate. 1000 in two weeks was my goal & I was on target for it too. That dream has been dashed today, with the breaking of my laptop, mid B/Ping. I'm gonna have to wipe the hard drive and reinstall everything, that'll take 2 days minimum, which'll mean I'll be getting about 20 points a day, using my family's home PC, instead of 100 which I've been getting as of late.

We've got a bowler for our team, Brian Davies. He bowls some spin quite well and just to keep the opponents on our toes is that we all go for the Aussie accent and the cries of "Bowling Shane" and "Keep 'em comin', Warney". The opponents don't suspect until he bowls them around their legs.

Wow, us Aussies seem to have a major influence all you poms and irish folk. I quite frankly dont think I have one of those Aussie accents but I am sure you would disagree if you heard me.

Ok, I have a perfect way of seeing if you really do here the Aussie accent or not. Whenever Ponting is making a speech at the end of a match does he sound like he has a really Aussie accent. Because he is one of the people that I dont really think has a major accent and if you think he does then I guess I am wrong and we all sound like a bunch of steriotypical Aussies.

I truly think my voice is normal so prove me wrong!

I can't remember his accent off the top of my head, but it probably is quite obvious. I thought my accent was quite neutral, yet nobody can understand a word I say over here.

I don't think I have a New Jerseyian accent, but most can tell that I'm from Jersey. And no, it doesn't sound like Tony Soprano or any of them from the Soprano's

Doubt it, most people in the states don't even know what cricket is. Having said that it isn't even shown on British TV that often anymore, now that Sky have the rights to most of it. That could be said of most sport though (obviously not a problem if you can afford a small fortune on Sky every month, which I can't)

I'm afraid you don't have the required rank of EG Private (1500 B/P) to join the Elite Guard Barracks. Please check out the FAQ link in my sig for further details of what this club is about, and our rules here. When you reach Security Guard you can apply for the NG Police Department, but be warned that both clubs look at posting history before accepting new recruits, so watch one liners etc.

It came in the 10 minutes I spent replying to the top 300 list thread, so I missed it >:(. Having said that I have been out most of the day in the Sun, so was unlikely to have caught it at any other time either, still annoying to see points pass me by though.
