Let's talk business then. :) What do you mean, use your own URL? I know it has something to do with with your unique profile ID or something similar with it but this is something I haven't yet grasped.

In another note, I recently acquired 10,000 B/P Points. :)

I havent grasped it either, What are you talking about?

Congratulations!

I am also nearing a cool achievement. 2000 b/p points made since the last update. I know that Phantom has already made this achievement by a few points but I want to know, has anyone else made this?

As I understand it everyone has their won page with their profile, using a URL with their username. Hence not being able to change them in future. I don't really know what more there is to it, but I imagine with whole pages dedicated to each user there will be more things on there for people to see. Who knows :)

More congrats- that top 300 list is getting close :)

2600 points and counting I think... I don't tend to look at the Barracks update much, rather the top 300 update. I've been in the top two or three people every week on that, so going at a strong pace :)

Yeah, I meant what Sentio said, Like we all have NG links that contain our user names but does any one even use it? I just use the good old one because it has everything saved and it's easier for me.

Thanks! Yes, the top 300 list is indeed getting close and you can't imagine how excited I am. :) I have been waiting quite some time (Oh, let's say about two months) to be in the list and I am trully excited. :D

Sorry guys for not posting in quite a while. I was practically busy, may it be school work and working on my flash animation. Speaking of my flash animation, hopefully it'll be done by tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for it. :)

Three months of snow are finally over :) (for now...)

Congratulations on receiving 2,000 B/P Points since the last update! I think I have as well. :)

Nice- I don't really pay attention to the pace of people who aren't on the top 300 list as it is so much harder to keep an eye on it. It is good to see that so many of our members are keeping up such a strong B/P pace, despite a relatively slow portal at this time of year. I'm looking forward to you making the list so I can keep track of how you are doing- every week I look out for Barracks members doing well :)

Oh ok, I understand now. Thanks for clearing things up, Sentio! :)

No problem- I guess the only reason they are using names instead of numbers is to make it easier to find peoples profiles. It does sound like it will allow us to have more information there as well though. I don't like to speculate too much about the redesign, but I'm willing to bet there will be many more changes than just new levels :)

I was the same- as soon as I found out that list existed I was there every week checking to see how close I was. You can't imagine how annoyed I was when I found myself at rank 301 for the update, just 3 points off my first appearance on the list. Of course I've been on there some time now- back when I joined you only needed 9000 points!

That is indeed a strong pace. Keep up the great work! :)

I doubt there will be any problem with that- I've got a certain Barracks member to hunt down still, and until I have there will be no slowing down from me :). Ironically I do better at work though, and with the holiday tomorrow I'll probably go a bit slower- at home there are so many better things to do than B/P.

Don't worry about it- not like anyone else was posting :). No doubt I'll be here ready and waiting to pass judgment on your animation, though if it is as good as your past efforts I suspect it will be getting favorable treatment from me.

Plus I went into a bookstore today to see if I could find that book you mentioned, but forgot the title. Having checked out this thread I'll be sure to go in again tomorrow and see if I can find it :).

Sorry if it took me some time to post, Sentio. Yes, over here in California it was warm as well. I also smell Spring coming up, although it is practically like a month away. You finally got rid of that pesky snow, didn't you? :) Well, it's nice to hear you won't be freezing yourself anymore. (for now :D)

Oh no, you're going to be watching over my pace now! :O Ha, kidding. Yes, it is quite hard to keep track of the B/P Pace of Barrack's members who aren't on the top 300 List. I have been checking out the list myself and I have seen you have been in the 75+ per day list several times now. You sure are doing a great job. I hope I'll join you in that list! :D

Hmm... I wonder what more information will there be displayed in our profiles when the redisign takes place? I guess we'll find out once it is incorporated. :)

Ha, that really must have annoyed you. Being rank 301 just when the update was going to take place. You only needed 9,000 B/P Points! You lucky person! :D Currently I have 10,000 points, but I'm still ranked #316. :(

I doubt there will be any problem with that- I've got a certain Barracks member to hunt down still, and until I have there will be no slowing down from me :). Thanks a lot for the kind words. :) Although I hope you enjoy Clock themed animations, because it is indeed going to be one of them. I hope there isn't a problem with it being a clock animation. :(

Plus I went into a bookstore today to see if I could find that book you mentioned, but forgot the title. Having checked out this thread I'll be sure to go in again tomorrow and see if I can find it :).

I hope you find. It is a really good book. Good luck! And about the books you have recommended to me, I'll have to look into them in the near future because I can't read a book for fun if there are other books I need to read for actual school. :( I'll probably check them out in my summer vacation though, which I highly know I'll have free time to read them. :)

No it's still darn slow. Usually it's a bit faster since SS,UU and KK usaully make the portal a bit more active. Oh well i didn't say here but Elite Guard Sergeant First Class & Total B/P points: 5000!

It wasn't that late really- when I'm at university I'm up until 3AM almost every night. I think I'm being very restrained in going to bed before 1AM every night while here in Denver :).

I just gave you a long ass review, and no, I'm not a huge fan of clock movies, but it doesn't mean I didn't vote/review fairly :)

I couldn't find it, so I just ordered it off Amazon. Cost me a massive $5.

And here was me thinking the holiday would lead to a better portal for a Monday. It hasn't been awful, but it certainly hasn't been great. Not that it matters- I was out much of the day wandering around Denver again and getting drunk in an English pub whilst watching FA cup highlights- come on the mighty Plymouth Argyle! (I seriously doubt anyone knows what the hell I'm on about- I love alcohol :D)

Congrats on the 5k- I see that and raise you another 20k. Yup, I made it 5/6ths of the way to the ultimate goal. Another 8 or so weeks to go if all goes to plan...

Well, as some kind of explanation for my random celebrations:

Plymouth Argyle are a Championship soccer (ugh, I hate calling it that- it's FOOTBALL!) team who just happen to be the side my family support, and the one team on this planet I put above all others (such as Bath rugby, Denver Broncos to name a few). The Championship is the second tier of English football (behind the Premiership) in case you were wondering. Anyway... they were playing in the FA Cup (a knock out competition for all English teams, both league and non-league), which is widely regarded as the most prestigious domestic club cup competition in the world. Their opponents were Derby County, current leaders of the Championship, and as such favourites in the match. Despite that the mighty Argyle won and find themselves in the quarter finals of the cup for the first time since 1984 (in my life time in other words). Not only that- they drew the weakest team (besides themselves) at home in the quarter final, and now have a good shot at the semis. That team is Watford by the way- bottom of the Premiership.

I bet you REALLY wanted to know all that :D.

You can have my last can of Bud if you want, as I'm sure you need it after reading all that. Don't worry- the bar is less than a minutes walk away so I won't go dry any time soon :)

Back to my celebrations- if there is one thing that is true of me I am the biggest footie fan on the planet, and to see my team do so well for the first time in ages is almost too much for me to contain :)

Are you seriously drunk, or are you joking? :0 Because truthfully, I can't notice or find any typos you have been making throughout the review or the last couple of posts you have made. Man, you must be Superman to type drunk and not make any typos. I suppose when you're drunk, you are one happy person. :D

Hard earnt money indeed! It had better be worth it now :P

Wait! I made a huge error! The name of the book I provided you with was the incorrect description of the actual book I was reading. Sorry about that. (Waits for Sentio to get mad and spill his beer all over his laptop.)

Haha, kidding. Once you begin reading the first few pages, let me know what you think of it once you get it. :)

I'm sure it will be :)

Yes it will. :D

I bet you REALLY wanted to know all that :D.

I just read the first few lines of your description there and my face went totally blank. I literally got lost. Example of the face I had after reading the description: ---------------------> 0_0

You can have my last can of Bud if you want, as I'm sure you need it after reading all that. Don't worry- the bar is less than a minutes walk away so I won't go dry any time soon :)

Sweet, a Bud! Wait, is it Bud light, or a Budweiser? Bubweisers tend to get me drunk in a matter of minutes. So I warn you. (I am not responsible for any weird or drunk acts I may commit. I shall blame all of it on Sentio :D)

Back to my celebrations- if there is one thing that is true of me I am the biggest footie fan on the planet, and to see my team do so well for the first time in ages is almost too much for me to contain :)

Well lets put it this way- I had 5 pints of Stella in the pub earlier, and I'm now on my 7th can of Bud this evening. I think that probably qualifies as drunk :D. The magic of posting is I can go back over it and correct any errors (of which there are many). Even in my seriously hammered state I can still spot a typo- it helps that firefox is marking them all out for me as well. On top of that I don't really lose much brain function when drunk, rather I get very happy (or sad if the circumstances are different), I find it hard to sit still, and I don't stop talking. As such every girl I have ever dated met me when drunk :D.

Wait! I made a huge error! The name of the book I provided you with was the incorrect description of the actual book I was reading. Sorry about that. (Waits for Sentio to get mad and spill his beer all over his laptop.)

*Starts to polish baseball bat*

Haha, kidding. Once you begin reading the first few pages, let me know what you think of it once you get it. :)

Sheesh- you put my laptop in danger for nothing! Just think yourself lucky that I don't want bloodstains on my bat, and that I probably couldn't hit you anyway in my current state...

I just read the first few lines of your description there and my face went totally blank. I literally got lost. Example of the face I had after reading the description: ---------------------> 0_0

Lol, I'll have to keep forcing real sport down your throat until you understand then :D. For a starter, go check out the
football page of the BBC website. GREEN AND WHITE BARMY ARMY!

Sweet, a Bud! Wait, is it Bud light, or a Budweiser? Bubweisers tend to get me drunk in a matter of minutes. So I warn you. (I am not responsible for any weird or drunk acts I may commit. I shall blame all of it on Sentio :D)

Just a standard Bud, so I'll be looking forward to your drunkenness, you light weight :). I'd drink a proper beer, but it is the cheapest I can get over here, and with my limited finances that is all that counts. I'd love to see what a true English cider would do to you- some of them are 2 or 3 times stronger than Bud.

With that long-ass descripton, there is no doubt in my mind you are the biggest footie fan on the planet. :)

You have no idea- I should come with a health warning: "mention football in this persons presence and don't expect him to shut up for the next 6 hours". Seriously, there isn't a lot I don't know about footie over the last 15 years or so.

Muffins. Make that mistake again, I'll give you muffin nightmares like you wouldn't believe. :o

Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! 5 pints of Stella and you're on your way to your 7th Bud? (Probably on the 10th by now? :D) And you're still alive? Wow, if I would have drank all of that liquor I think I would have been in Lala land now. *Sees Sentio fidgeting* Sit still! >:(

Oh oh...

Sheesh- you put my laptop in danger for nothing! Just think yourself lucky that I don't want bloodstains on my bat, and that I probably couldn't hit you anyway in my current state...

Haha, if you would have swung that bat anyway, you would have probably struck Sterockicy and I would haved lol'd so hard that my eyeballs would have popped out. :D

Lol, I'll have to keep forcing real sport down your throat until you understand then :D. For a starter, go check out the
football page of the BBC website. GREEN AND WHITE BARMY ARMY!

Thanks *hiccups* for the Bud mate! Oooh, I wanna try a bottle of English cider! *hiccups* Do you have any spares? *Hiccups*

You have no idea- I should come with a health warning: "mention football in this persons presence and don't expect him to shut up for the next 6 hours". Seriously, there isn't a lot I don't know about footie over the last 15 years or so.

Ok, I'll ask a question. Which team won the first footie FA cup championship? :D

Not too good but I've had worse days. It's because I just don't have that much time anymore...

Top gainers, repeat offenders: dave, Phantom!

Cool.

It was speard over about 10 hours, so it really wasn't that bad. And anyway, with a bar maid as hot as the one that was serving me you'd stay for a few extra as well ;)

Pathetic :P

Afraid not- it is rather hard to come by in this country. When I get back to the UK I'll be sure to send you some :)

Ok, I'll ask a question. Which team won the first footie FA cup championship? :D

I did kind of say the last 15 years, but it was Wanderers way back in 1872 if you really want to know, with a 1-0 victory over Royal Engineers. Neither team actually exists anymore. That is a commonly asked quiz question in the UK :)

Oooo.. another suprise update :D

Top 5 Gainers:

MadCow – 3,017
Sentio – 2,887
Seamonky – 2,481
dave – 2,403
Phantom – 2,224

Second will do, but I would like to point out the daylight robbery of top spot there. Don't worry, it wasn't your fault Sterockicy- the last update short changed MadCow by about 1000 points (looking at the top 300 list on the 20th Jan she had 18985 points, while in the Barracks update on the 21st she only had 17649). I guess this is revenge for her getting such a low total before :)

But whatever- internet stats don't mean that much to me anyway...

*goes into a corner and cries*

Oh, and nice job by everyone else going at a fast pace too :)

12 // 25,624 // 2231 // 74.3- // Hemlok
13 // 25,052 // 2887 // 96.2+ // Sentio

Getting ever closer... Down to less than 600 points now, from 1200 just a month and a half ago.

Not bad for someone who is busy like yourself.

03 // 46,736 // 1497 // 49.9+ // DukeOfMuffins

Work harder and you may be a threat to Phantom! :)

04 // 45,746 // 646 // 21.5- // BlueHippo

I see you have started B/Ping again.

05 // 41,232 // 2198 // 73.2+ // Major-punk

13 // 25,052 // 2887 // 96.2+ // Sentio

Now that's what I call a monstrous pace. :0 Great Job! I guess I should drink more booze every now and then, see if that improves my pace. :D

Looks like my next opponent is sleeping on the job. :)

24 // 6,772 // 2137 // 81.2+ // Sterockicy

Will you please stop it! You're intimidating me here! >:(

28 // 5,840 // 823 // 27.4+ // Shanus

You've got a lot of work ahead of you if you want to catch Sterockicy.

31 // 5,170 // 1827 // 60.9+ // DarkSoldier

Hey, not bad! Keep up the nice work.

21 // 10,271 // 2053 // 68.4+ // PenguinLink

Meh, not the best ever. I could do better. :(

Apologies in advance for any mistakes I may have made. It's my first attempt at an update.

Also I noticed you're getting close to the big 300+ list- I look forward to seeing you there in a couple of weeks :)

Sorry for the double post. Argh, I missed your post there, Sentio. I have this thread bookmarked and well it was still bookmarked on page 681, so that explains why I didn't see your post. Sorry about that. :(

That "PenuinLink" somehow dissappeared. (For a more precise explanation, I had to chase a bunny) I hate it when I leave for a few minutes and then there is a soldier asking for permission to join. It's like bad karma or something... :( But thanks for helping me out, Sentio. It is greatly appreciated, although I posted the same information accidently. :(

I'm sorry soldier, but one of the requirements to join is to have at least 1,500 B/P Points. Go out there and protect the portal until you have obtained that quantity of points and then we'll see. :) Also, check out our FAQ as well. Good luck!
