I have slowed down a bit mostly because there aren't as many UJ's being submitted and a lot of the time I can't vote on them due to the IP problem. Thanks for updating the list.

I've been trying for months to pass ElMaster, or even narrow the gap, but can never quite manage. Each and every time I get reasonably close, I end up not being able to b/p as much for a while and fall further behind.
Why do we b/p? It's for the sense of civic duty to keep an eye on the Portal and the joy of saving quality flash while blamming the dregs of the NG society. Then again, maybe it is all about the stats and pretty badges.
About Harry Potter...yeah the Slytherin/Draco Malfoy sig pic really leaves a lot of doubt about where my loyalties lie. Personally, I didn't mind when Snape killed Dumbledore and the thought of Voldemort dying doesn't make my day. I plan to be Bellatrix for Halloween...I walk around with my son so why not dress up in costume? Plus, we volunteer at a haunted house in the area. You can kind of tell I like Halloween, huh?
I will try to check out the EGB forum...got it bookmarked somewhere on the computer. Blame it on the fanfic I'm writing...fic exchange wanted a minimum of 1500 words so of course I will most likely end the story somewhere around 25,000 words. Dang thing just won't quit.

Heh, the only person ever to pass me in B/P and stay there was ADT during his "multi star" days... Plus, before I got hospitalized, him and I were neck to neck, he didn't get the big lead till after that. But enough whining, to work.

I need help getting more blams. I want to retire on 30,000 but I am going to slow I picked up my 50 per day pace total but my saves are doing good with the uu, kk, bdp and etc. Does anyone salute here anymore.

I am going to just save movies from now on, I am like 15 off from passing my blams with saves. But I only pick up like 20 a day now. And I dunno if people salute anymore, havn't seen it in a while.

Saluting was big when I first started the Barracks. Back then, the club was basically a way to have fun chatting while giving respect and recognitition to the work people put into B/Ping. Therefore, "sirs," salutes, and naming people by rank was big. That was originally why I started the club, but then we kind of moved on from that and moved to other goals (like promoting fair voting on NG, whistleblowing, and B/Ping in general. Saluting was fun when it happened, but I guess people don't want to do it anymore.

I guess I grew out of it too, simply because I loved the whole US Army-style ranking once I first made it. I even started talking that way in some threads, but not many people were receptive to the idea. I finally got up to making a club when I had made EG Sergeant, and there you go.

I'm trying...since I started WoW again, I've been keeping the Macbook open for quest map purposes. This way, I can keep up B/P and with the forum. I've been watching wrestling a lot, but not intently enough to run a recap again. Maybe I'll give it a shot with ECW tonight. No promises, tho. :-)

Yeah, it feels good to be back. I am back to depositing on weekdays at least, so it may take you a little while to catch me up, but weekends are still a problem when I am not at work. There was a time when I was just behind Phantom in experience, but the last couple of months have really slowed my pace- there was a whole month where I couldn't deposit at all!

Am waiting on my landlord to install cable so that I can connect up to the internet- I would do it myself, but he is offering a much cheaper deal and I can't really afford to ignore it. It will happen one day I am sure!

It's nice to see my name back on the Barracks Roster- I've never been the most active member of these barracks (understatement!), but I intend to change that over the coming months.

As to the saluting thing, I guess I am one of the few that persists with it, more for old times sake than anything else. Back in the day it was pretty much standard to finish all posts with a quick salute to show your respect to the Barracks, but since then this place seems to have changed a bit and it isn't quite as important. Either way I intend to keep up the traditional salute...

You be careful playing WoW... I'm a recovering addict and let me tell you, its a lot more difficult than you would think... However, I've now become addicted (for the third time) to The Sim and its numerous expansion packs. There's few things better than being allowed to let someone starve without it being a felony.

Of course it wouldn't be! Not everyone here was a member at the beginning!

But yes, you don't meet the requirements. To be a member, you must be of Elite Guard rank (1500+ B/P). However, as you are a Security Guard, you can apply at the NGPD and see if they'll let you join. It's a good place to hang out while you work your way up the B/P ranks.
