Mad-Cow hooked me up with a new sig...and the final version of it is ready and will be deployed on the day I reach Supreme Commander.

I actually hung out in General a decent amount today. I plan to post a lot more once I hit EGSC. I may be high-ranking, but I'm not a "regular" on the BBS by any means, not outside of the EGB and NGPD, anyway. I want that to change...

Yeah I saw you talking in the general like you would talking in the C&C and Wi/Ho and for once it wasn't one of my threads. well i hope you build up the confedence to post there more often. Don't be Like I used and run away from the general because you are afraid of getting banned for posting in a spam thread. Because of that I because a whistle junkie :-P

I'm sure if you try you can become popular in the General foruns. Personally, I have no intention of doing that... If you do become known in the General section, you are going to remember us, right? You know the little people? lol.

The Elite Guard Barracks will always be my home, lol. I started posting here over 500 pages ago, as a lil level 9 Private First Class, and I don't intend to abandon the Barracks anytime soon.

I am SERIOUSLY considering doing it all over again with an alt. :-D

I post my majority of posts in the C&C. Hardly ever in the General unless some one asks me to and I look through the whole thread to see it's ok. Getting banned will not be helping me here. Especially as some of us remember, now that mods have had for a while their "Destroy" tool.

Hey guys, I'm sad to say that I won't be as active as I used to be (which wasn't that much) on the BBS. I will try and post as much as I can but with all of these tests and homework assignments that have been hitting me I hardly have any time. I just wanted you all to know that I'm not active because I don't want to be. Also B/P is my number one priority on Newgrounds so that comes first as well.

damm! i missed it again, damm school!, oh yeah about the baracks protect/blam ratio "32" not bad for me also I never intended to reach the first place cas I like to blam, cas there are alot of cr@py flash out there,and blaming raises also my badge degree... I can't believe someone was stupid enough to steal from a series with its own collection.

I posted this in the NGPD, but maybe some of our members can benefit from this, too. Even if not, it never hurts to have it out there.

Slash's Stolen Flash Tips!

First up, if I see a very good flash, but it has no author's comments...or the author's comments are stupid...it sets off a warning siren in my head. Usually authors capable of incredible flash are going to talk about the flash to the viewers, not saying nothing or mangle grammar with "yeah this is kewl" crap.

In this event, further investigation is warranted. First up...and this is often something I do with submitters with only one or two other flash, anyway...look at their other flash, if they have any. If they've only got one or two, and either/both are already flagged, that's a big sign of potential trouble.

Also, if they have no previous flashes, that can be a warning sign. No one becomes a flash master overnight. Now, it is possible that this person is a talented artist who has just found Newgrounds and decided to submit it here. So before I go on, let me say that you should never flag solely on suspicion...ONLY if you can find an original source.

Okay, if you're getting some/all of these warning signs, it's time to do some searching. Search for the title of the flash. Now, also look IN the flash for the title. Sometimes, to try and dodge being caught, they'll give the SUBMISSION a different title than the flash. For example, the stolen "I Love Egg" flash submissions were called "Happy Egg" or something along those lines.

If you find search results matching it, WATCH THE SEARCH RESULTS. It's possible the names are just similar, so make sure the .swf's are the same.

If you find no results, but you still got a bad feeling about it, try google. Not every good flash is on Newgrounds, because we (unlike some sites) don't just steal good content, we ask artists to submit.

If you do find it on another site, make sure the accused submitter doesn't have the site as his profile site...if so, it's very possible he just put the flash on his site, AND on Newgrounds.

And lastly, if you do confirm a stolen flash, post a link to it in the Elite Guard Barracks AND the NGPD, with a link to the original's location. We don't whistle flash without hard proof. If you have suspicion, you can ask the EGB/NGPD to investigate, but we will not whistle without clear confirmation.
