I get that this is basically just a flash site mass-posting their stuff here on Newgrounds, but is this rulebreaking? From what I can tell, the Flash is not stolen, it's posted by the site owner, and looks otherwise legitimate. Is that grounds for deletion? Maybe things are different since I last frequented here. I didn't touch your stash - that would be rude. Well, to be more precise, I didn't drink any of it. I did put it all in the secured storage room (it was in my way), but it's all back now.. The wall is back up - but I suck at spackling so I put up a nice wood paneling. The rug is (mostly) clean, your name tag is back up - but it may take a few more days relocating this hardware. But, hey, some of them do run RHEL 6 and I have a debian test server - trying to expand my horizons and all. I will share them with you, if that will make you feel better.
I think I'll be commandeering that hardware for my own testing actually. Either that, or you replace that 42U rack I had in there complete with all of those PowerEdge R410s I "found" somewhere. That includes the UPS, the SAN, and that Cisco kit I had in there. Thought I forgot about that, didja?
Seriously though, if you're going to be expanding your horizons, Debian Jessie is in a code freeze hoping for a June release. If you install it now, it won't be too unstable for playing around with. It comes with systemd installed by default (as does RHEL/CentOS 7). That's a good start to expand. It totally replaces sysvinit, so it's good to get exposure on it now, especially since RHEL7 is becoming more and more deployed.

Yep, That would do it. I was not aware that this was a Flash aggregation site where pretty much anyone can submit an entry and they are passing it off as they own the game.
I originally got the impression they were more of an Armor Games type of site. But then again, even when Armor Games submits something to Newgrounds, they do so with the NG user as the author, so yeah, night and day.

Actually, it's ok in movies, but not in games. Also, they didn't use sprites; they did actually draw everything out themselves. The only things that are reportable are games that use Nintendo sprites. Especially if they suck. There may be a few still around, but they're awesome, so we don't know what or where they are. ...until Nintendo complains... <_< ...ahem...

It's still done some, but for the most part it isn't really done anymore, no.
Not sure exactly why it stopped, as that was before my time, but I'm guessing new members were either not interested in doing the sort of roleplay stuff or didn't realise they were supposed to.

I don't know that I ever got bored of it, but obviously, out of all of the people around here, I'd be the last to do so. :-)
Honestly, as time went on, our role here on Newgrounds evolved, and it became less about the roleplay and more about protecting the Portal and doing everything we can to keep the crap off the Portal.
The other reason behind that is that most of the posts around here nowadays are strictly business; reporting rulebreaking Flash, mostly. Back in the day, we would have more chats on here, and those casual conversations were more "in character,: even hundreds of pages in to the club.
Honestly, I miss the thread of the past, but I'm glad that the thread still exists today, and it has an official purpose on Newgrounds.
