Status: Likely Gonna Change In Some Way
Role: In charge of maintaining a record of all passed flash that are suspected to be stolen and reporting them to Wade. Deleted flashes will be removed from the list, while flashes that remain will be re-evaluated at a later date and either re-reported or dismissed.

I like this idea. The one thing that proved really annoying in the NGPD was having to dig through pages of posts to find those things that slipped through judgement whenever I was putting a PM together to send to Wade. Having them distilled into a thread on the forums sounds much better.

Also, random hypothetical question:

Suppose the NG staff introduce portal mods to help Wade get rid of flashes. Would that make backseat modders out of everyone in the EGB?

Heh, sorry for this late roster guys. I was working out some minor....(And major) kinks of which I got stuck on. I do really apologise if anything is wrong in this roster, its much bigger than I actually presumed and I bow down to Ismael's superiority of knowing how to do it so well!

I can handle the social orientation of new recruits and whatnot. Every once and a while back in the NGPD, every time when a hopeful recruit asked to join, I'd often do a quick assessment of their post quality, their B/P rank, and how they conduct themselves on the BBS. I usually like to lok through at least 5 pages of post history of new recruits before I make any decision as to whether they should be in or out of the EGB. As for those I've seen around the forums and know their post history is well done and highly qualified, no need to look through the history.

It is much harder then it looks right? Now try updating something like the top reviewers list and see how hard it is. :P

Ah, it's not too bad though if you have that nifty little program that pulls stats, but it's still a hell of a lot of work. I keep telling Sonofkirk that I'll do that top 100 Audio Review list, but every time I try it's just too much work.

This is my schedule.. Between classes and work.

Monday 9am - 1pm
Tuesday 9:30am - 9:15pm
Wednesday 9am - 5pm
Thursday 9:30am - 5pm
Friday 8am - 5pm

Weekends are generally free, however I have an online Bio course, tons of animation homework, plus all my obligations as an RA. When I work a weekend shift I'm on call for 24 hours T_T. My schedule is insane! I have been gradually reajusting my sleep cycle and becoming more and more active on NG again.

In other news: I bought an NG poster today!

Well, once you get used to it it's not that difficult, it just take some time. We were all at that point when you don't know how to do it, but fortunately you got around to post it, so don't worry. And if something goes wrong, you can blame me for sucking so much at explaining something, or you can blame Excel for that "list" option, which I swear that must be there in somewhere.

Its either been a very slow month....Or I have done something wrong. I'm going for the first one, as the portal has been very slow over the past few weeks, but then again....The second one could also be a possibility! Haha.

Average = Gain / number of days since last update
Change = Compares current average with last month's

Now I noticed that the Change looks weird with some other people too, it's a minor mistake. Probably a slip up with the "pace O" and "pace N" columns in the Excel file.

Your average is your gain divided by the number of days in the month. E.G This month would be 30. The minus in your change because I messed up in the copying of the roster. One of the steps Ismael told me to do....I didn't do correctly. It looked alright so I just kinda left it. I will know not to do so next time.

I apologise for that. Oh and how do we calculate it?.....IF statements....Lotsa lotsa IF statements! xD

Thanks Liz, and they do get easier, way back when it wasn't uncommon for me to do 20 names in half an hour for a roster, mind you this was after 20 or so rosters

I also have a portal related question, I remember being able to download the files submitted to the flash portal by changing the web address in the address bar. Is this still the case, or was it ever the case, and if we aren't supposed to talk about it I'm sorry for bringing it up.

That's strange. I've been patrolling more than ever this month, and even got a bunch of Madness flashes, but I still dropped by .9 points? I think it was an increase of .9 points per day.

My story is nearing the end, the Charger fan arc will be followed by one more major arc before it wraps up. The sequel will happen so don't worry, especially since it'll contain just as much reference as the current story line.

I'm still sticking with the alternate universe in order to cross with Eagle's story, I'll do that in the sequel.

You know, if you review older pages of the thread, you'll see that once, many years ago, there was a lot more activity on the portal, and more honest blamming, for that matter, which made sure a determined B/Per would have no trouble going from nearly no points, all the way to 30,000 to become Sup. Commander, or as we still call it by the old ranks, "Elite Guard Supreme Commander". Anywho, keep working and you'll get there too.

Well, I've got no problem with sticking it around here for the position. It's not really like I did much for the position, but if EagleRock wants to take over and shuffle people down, I'll happily step aside, allowing me to just be a Review Mod presence in the barracks, keeping your reviewing in check ;)

Still keeping the pressure up on byteslinger. This month was much closer than normal, so we'll see how that one pans out in the long run.

Alright, here are a few updates to the Officer positions.

1. Executive Officers

After some consideration, I've decided to make the following changes. Coop is willing to step aside in the command structure, and since he's a review mod in addition to a long-time EGB'er, he can do so without losing any prestige. So, I'll be moving EagleRock to Lieutenant CBO (and moving Phantom to Second Lieutenant CBO, which isn't a demotion, just a re-shuffling, lol). This way Eagle will take over if I wander off, Phantom will take over if Eagle then goes inactive again, and RohanTheBarbarian will take over if trees fall on all three of us. Heh.

Coop will be given the honorary position of Reviews Violations Officer, which just means that he's our resident review mod, lol. Wouldn't feel right to have one of the oldest members of the EGB out in the cold, heh.

2. Peacetime Officers

Advancement Officer, as some have noted, isn't super-necessary, but it could be a good addition in the future, especially if the NGPD stays locked and we lose that pre-EGB training that NGPD alumni get. For now, it'll stay vacant unless necessary, much like the currently-absorbed position of Recruitment Officer.

Lizzardis will indeed become the Lieutenant Records Officer, as he did a fine job with this month's roster. One little note---Insanimation left, so whoever does the next roster should go ahead and take him off. :-)

As for Portal Violations Officer, I agree with Eagle's recommendation---SlntCobra1 is quite active in the EGB and with spotting rulebreaking stuff, so I'll make him the Lieutenant Portal Violations Officer, working with phantomlassuk to handle the Violations Reporting Desk and the Master Violations List. This obviously means I'll make him able to mod that section of the EGB forums, as well.

If we need any other adjustments or additions, don't hesitate to speak up and let us know.

Haha, no need. Excel is really easy, especially with the NGPD roster since its just adding things up. However this roster is much harder because it is made confusing with IF statements! xD

Saying that with the NGPD roster I DO use a calculator to tot it all up, but because I have dual monitors I don't need to write things down since I can see them anyway.

Oh and it was late because I said so! xD. It was like 7PM over here, and I was expecting to have it out by 5PM 0.o

I also have a portal related question, I remember being able to download the files submitted to the flash portal by changing the web address in the address bar.

Actually those aren't if statements. They are just some basic math operations which prevent you from doing everything manually with a calculator :D

I apologise for the confusion. I don't have that much knowledge of Excel. I use it for the roster yes, but I just add things up and input data. I will know now that they are NOT IF Statements. xD
