I have messed around with the others and find them just point less, with Badminton i do like to play when i get the chance. I do make a idiot of myself while doing so, hiting all kinds of things over the net. Including my cellphone, my brick of a phone the envy2. The third try it went strait through the paddel or what ever it's called.

And enough one liners @;-}>

Anyone see District 9 yet? Such a great movie.

The plot itself was pretty generic (pretty much Blood Diamond + Close Encounters of the Third Kind, which are, in themselves, kind of generic), but the acting, script, and universe that was created are amazing. There was a good 45 continuous minutes or so where I was literally sitting on the edge of my seat with my mouth open.

It's hard to explain the plot without opening up the spoiler tags, but you can call most of the major events as you're watching them. But the action is pure awesome, i.e. a gun that shoots lightning and causes people to explode in tiny meat chunks. There's also a mech that Wikus (the unfortunately named main character) controls that shoots a taser type amo. Except, instead of a pin, a spear head a good 2 inches wide is shot, and proceeds to explode. Wikus also shoots a pig (there's a debate on whether the pig was picked up by the mech's gravity gun or there is a gun that can fire pigs).

The camera work in the first part is great; the premise of the movie is that they're making a documentary on Wikus, so you get erratic camera work mixed in with some interviews mixed with some security camera footage. What I hated was that it was shot like that throughout the movie, which doesn't work when Wikus is supposed to be alone or when there shouldn't be a camera around.

The special effects are great, although you never really get a sense that there's 1.5 million aliens (the number claimed at the beginning of the film). Otherwise, everything blends in perfectly.

Overall, I loved it. Not terribly original, but it's so well acted, writtened and pretty well directed.I highly recommend seeing if you get the chance.

Nope, and in case y'all didn't know, I LOATHE SPOILERS!!!

I tell ya, there are shitloads of movies that I want to see so bad but haven't been able to because of the damn ticket cost, cost of gas, and other financial issues. The most recent movie I saw in theaters was "Wanted" which was in July of 2008.

So yea, damn economy and damn mortgage bill. >_<

I decide to have some fun by posting the roster from my last year's ESPN fantasy team

Only one I'm not sure of was TE since I could find the record for some reason, but yeah my WR corps were that lame and my RB corps were that deep

Even deeper if you considered the fact that Willie Parker and Matt Forte were on the bench roster

Carson Palmer was originally the starter until he got hurt, some idiot cut Philip Rivers and I picked him up from a scrap heap.

Yes. You abused the system, we all love you for being good at something that's got the word "Fantasy" in it. xD

Good luck! (Oh wait, you don't need it.)

Good movie, but the plot itself is generic; 2 unlikely heroes team up in order to bring x to y.

I'm trying to think of the last movie I saw in theaters, and I can't remember. I think it was The Dark Knight.

Bit of a typo on my post, meant to say "couldn't find" regarding TE

In all fairness, no one thought Turner would have the year he had last season and Forte's a rookie

Had Parker been healthy my team would've been 13-0, oh well

10-3 isn't bad as long I won the championship though

Also the draft was mostly autopicked, the only pick I made was the first round when I drafted Peterson

It's a good thing I picked up Rivers, especially after what happened to Carson Palmer...

Yes of course you missed Clock Day such a shame it was so cool and I got a lot of b/p points. Well in the last what 2 months if that is how long it is, I have gone from PS2 to XBox 360 to ps3 and now XBox 360 again. The reason I got rid of my first XBox was because I had trouble with RROD ,and I traded it in for PS3 which rocked apart from the lack of games. I wanted lots of games only on XBox 360. Trouble is I'm I love the Sony control pad its rocks and I miss it but I don't want to do anything rash. Damn next gen consoles are more trouble sometimes.

Aren't we all, aren't we all.

Aside from that, things here seem to be doing well, hopefully get a new comp next month sinxe the computer is completely crashed. =[

Yeah, I've got to wait. It doesn't pay to get myself a new computer since I'll be going to college in a year and need a laptop.

Besides, I'm saving up for a car because my cheap ass sister is commuting to culinary school, which means I won't have a car from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Previously, we shared the car that was given to us for free by our parents. But now that I'll be able to go home early and possibly try to get a job, it pays to have a car.

I would ask my sister to chip in for my car, but that was cause a shitstorm the likes have never been witnessed before. I mean, it's not like I'm giving up anything by letting her have the free car and me having to find a car, and then drop $2,000+ on it. </sarcasm> But not only that, the bitch doesn't know how to spend (well, I should say save) her money. She can spend $100 on her boyfriend, but not have money for her college textbooks. She can get coffee 3 days a week, but when I ask for her share of the gas money, she's "only got $20 for the next week and a half".

I'm very curious to see the roster this month, considering it was the first Clock Day I actually voted on submissions. It'll be very interesting to see how everybody did this month.

I just want to say Tarboy is an amazing animation and has brilliant music, it's so professional and it's one of the best submissions NG has had in a long time. I especially loved how the author included extra videos of concept art, it's really interesting. My favourite scene would have to be 'the stalking robot' scene, the music and animation for that part is amazing, I found myself watching that part over and over again. Overall, brilliant animation and I'm not surprised it won the top three awards this week.

My xbox finally broke after 3 and half years of good use, no problems up until now. I had good exam results and I'm confident I will get into University now so I'm in quite a happy stage, so my xbox dying didn't bring me down as much as I thought. I have enough money to buy a new one or get it fixed, it's just the question whether I want to spend my money on an Xbox right now.

I got the following:
Graphic tech. Theory: B
Media Studies: B
Art: A
Information Communication Technology (ICT): A

Hope I do even better this year, and by next year i'll be attending University.

I just watched Tarboy, and it's awesome! As you say, it looks really professional, the animation and music are great, and the storyline is good to (fortunately there will be a Tarboy II). I instantly added to my favorites, and I'm sure it will be nominated for the NG awards. I really enjoyed it, and I am still watching it over and over again.

Something that really helps me study in college is to take a little bit of notes in class, but most of the time just listen because usually teachers really stress the things that are going to be important. And then I do all of the reading, then go back through the reading and my notes to make note cards. The beauty about note cards is you can take them anywhere with you and you can take a glance at them whenever possible.

Sitting on the toilet then look at your note cards, waiting in line at a restaurant then look at your note cards, etc... It's really helped me study as I can't stand reading the books either. I can't seem to concentrate.

I would only wrote down the important sections of thing's I didn't quite understand. I usually remembered everything else, and I forgot to say I took notes during my lessons too.
Only subjects I actually had to revise to was Graphics and Media studies.

Nah, I've talked to betty (Usernamed). He's a Hell of a lot cooler than Chris. Back in the day, Usernamed would go to a userpage and post one comment, usually something like "FUCK YOU BITCHES" or whatever, and people would freak out over that single line. If that was all Beer did, he'd be just a minor annoyance, maybe even funny to other users that are generally considered annoyances. As of now, any and all word I get, even from spammers, is anti-Beer. That's right, even the other spammers think he sucks. And I can see why too: he's ruined what little was left of spam. When the [FF], and even more the [OO], were deleted, Beer and everyone else involved in his shit were to blame. Of course, none of his crap wasn't done by cr0m or someone first, except the "hacking mods" thing (I think, though I wouldn't put it past Goldencat).

Well I reported loads of possible stolen flashes its a pain when they pass.

Ugh, yeah. Especially when it's so obvious that they are stolen that even an idiot can tell. I haven't flagged anything in a while, I never get on and see any and I'm always too late for the ones in here, but when I do get in, I flag. What ever happened to being a well-rounded user? Or are the kids now running rampant in the Portal just too stupid to figure out the Whistle?

Anyone ever heard of 3do? I have this thing for looking for old consoles.

Oh, yes. Back in the old days, before I first took the name "Soulmaster", I knew so much more about the old systems... Another knowledge that was allowed to lapse between 2005 and 2007. Was it the 3do which had porn games like "Men in Ties", or is that some other near-forgotten system that I'm forgetting? 2004, when I knew these things, now seems so long ago.

Response to The Elite Guard Barracks 2009-08-27 18:15:35

Well, I try to be a well-rounded user. I flag abusive reviews after I find them and share them with others via AIM and if I'm not sure but I think they could be abusive, I always ask before I flag. I also report the stolen/malicious/unsuitable/etc. flashes and blow my whistle on them when need be.

But as far as the general user is concerned, the well-rounded user has gone by the wayside. Thus leaving nothing but idiots.
