Right, but Harrison didn't had a chance to do anything. But Taft did and he just sat there with his thumb up his fat ass. By the by, what the hell is the "v" word that I typed in the other post?

Jackson was President. He pretty much shit on the Constitution by allowing the Trail of Tears to go on. He is, literally, the person responsible for the extermination of the American Indians in the East. Here. I'll even give you a source .
Have a nice look.
What about Alexander Hamilton on the 10$. He was the secretary of the Treasury, Jackson was a President.
My Vote for worst President is either LBJ or GWB. Both manipulated the Fear of the people for personal gain. Both of which have killed more than 2000 innocent people because of the consequences of their Greed.

Too many presidents have done that! Second Bush, Reagan (Iran-Contra, stupid-ass StarWars missile defense program, HUGE increases in military spending pushed thru due to fear of USSR which was inevitably going to collapse, etc.), LBJ at least he had the "Great Society" program.

Andrew jackson for obvious reasons. The only president who was so unruly that he was impeached and 1 vote shy from imprisonment.

ha, so I do. Must've gotten them confused. I recently read on the attemtped assasination of Jackson so I was easily confused. But yeah, Johnson was probably everything that does not stand for leader of America.

I wouldn't agree. he made enemies with the republicans because he was going to easy on the south. he wanted to do what lincoln wanted to do, and make it easy for the south to rejoin the union. most of the republicans really wanted to punish the south, he believed this would be a major hinderance to uniting the two sides. The reason why he was impeached is because the republicans passed an unconstitutional law that they wanted him to break so they could impeach him. the law was that he could not fire his own cabinet members without congressional permission. he did and they impeached. they brought the last vote in on a stretcher so that the republicans wouldn't get the required percentage. Pretty dramatic stuff. While I believe he was a little bumbling, he did what he thought was necessary for the nation to move on.

Not really.
Lincoln wanted it to be easier when they came in, but they also had to pledge to stay with the Union.
Jackson didn't do that. He wanted them to be able to join even easier, without pledging. He practically just let them rejoin ON THEIR OWN TERMS while giving them special benefits along the way, which pissed off the so-called Radical Republicans.
Jackson was an idiot. Lincoln had the right idea of not punishing them severely as that would put a strain on the relationship. Jackson gave them an incredibley easy route where they didn't even have to apologize for their actions.

again its johnson not jackson. secondly:
1. Since Abraham Lincoln believed that the South had never legally withdrawn from the Union, restoration was to be relatively simple. In his plan for restoring the union, the southern states could be reintegrated into the Union if and when they had only 10% of its voters pledge and taken an oath to the Union, and also acknowledge the emancipation of the slaves; it was appropriately called the Ten Percent Plan. Like the loving father who welcomed back the prodigal son, Lincoln's plan was very forgiving to the South.
2. The Radical Republicans felt punishment was due the South for all the years of strife. They feared that the leniency of the 10 % Plan would allow the Southerners to re-enslave the newly freed Blacks, so they rammed the Wade-Davis Bill through Congress. It required 50% of the states' voters to take oaths of allegiance and demanded stronger safeguards for emancipation than the 10% Plan.
3. However, Lincoln pocket-vetoed the bill by letting it expire, and the 10% Plan remained.
4. It became clear that there were now two types of Republicans: the moderates, who shared the same views as Lincoln and the radicals, who believed the South should be harshly punished.
* Sadly though, Lincoln was assassinated. This left the 10% Plan's future in question.
* When Andrew Johnson took power, the radicals thought that he would do what they wanted, but he soon proved them wrong by basically taking Lincoln's policy and issuing his own Reconstruction proclamation: certain leading Confederates were disfranchised (right to vote removed), the Confederate debt was repudiated, and states had to ratify the 13th Amendment (which freed the slaves once and for all).
Does that sound like their own terms?

You do realize that other than me screwing up the name, that I addressed those issues.
Johnson took Lincoln's policy alright, but as I said, he gave the South much more leniency.
That's all I said. I really don't know why you put a link up to prove my statements... rather pointless.

um I provided my link that johnson wanted to do what lincoln wanted, and he was more leneint then the radicals, not more lenient, you have not backed up your claims at all
and lastly even if whatever you say is true does that mean he is really the worst president? his impeachment was more based in partisan politics then clintons. does he really qualify as the worst ever?

Andrew Jackson, Why? He commited war crimes and genocide. In case you forgot, "The Trail of Tears" Sadly he is one of the people that put war crimes in the dictionary, the Trail of Tears was the Darfur of the 17th century. Not to mention he gave the democratic party a bad name.

That's because he said it would "bounce back".
It essentially did because of the war time economy we had during World War II.

The lack of knowledge on this thread disturbs me greatly. Grant replaced Lincoln? Jackson was never President? Really?
Anyways, I'd have to say William Henry Harrison. He is the only President who literally did nothing. What kind of moron gives a multi-hour inauguration speech in the middle of a blizzard without the proper outerwear?

bah how did he adversely affect the country? or are you saying every other president left the country a better place when he left than it was when he walked in?
