Runescape sucks now... don't even bother. It's all about Knight Online World, but you gotta download the client. It's free though.

Well, there aren't that many games that are good that you don't have to download. Runescape is the only one I can think of that is real time and live.
You might want to try MARCOLAND, if you don't mind that it's browser based.

There's no such thing as a multiplayer game where you don't download anything, runescape downloads the files without your interaction. You're downloading right now looking at this page.
