I dunno never looked that up

gamecube = not turning on, loose disc tray lock, controller ports issues

yes but those weren't problems at launch, there was a malfunction machine or something I guess and about 10,000 faulty gamecubes were released.

whats your point?

that microsoft rushed thier release and as a result put out a faulty system (just like the original)

xbox just doesn't know how to make a console, they only know how to make computers. when they try to make a console like a computer, then it becomes faulty.

Why did the gamecube never have launch issues?
Why was the gamecube never able to be cracked?

because it wasn't a computer

well psp dead pixels dont count because that happens with every LCD screen. Eventually with use all LCD screens lose pixels. Its not a malfunction just that technology is not taht advanced yet. Oh and to al lthe retards taht bout the 3602 as it came out tehre you go. I wanan wait to see what all teh sytems have to offer before i waste money. What turned the 360 off for me is that it has no backwards compatibility (unless you pay extra)

the ps2 never had an issue with overheating. For one, there has never been a report of that, plus, I've left mine on overnight and it wasn't even hot to the touch.

Dead pixels do count

i have had a lcd labtop for years never a single a dead pixel popped up

Deadpixels are usally caused with rough handling and other Factory problems

things like dead pixels are because of the carelessness of the people who make the product nothing more or nothing less

Idiot, all launch systems have problems.

Does anyone actually own an original ps2 that works like the day it was bought?

just because your PS2 doesn't have overheating issues doesn't mean that they don't exist.

The PSTWO ( slimline model) has had reports about overheating, along with the occansional DRE ( disc read error). newer model doesn't seem as plagued with the DRE like the older one.

but hey, let's face it! EVERY CD based console has had faulty systems. anyway, doesn't look like my 360 have any of the problems reported (yet)

Funny I always ask myself the same question, and I'll just throw in the fact the the very fist batch of Dreamcast GD-ROM's were faulty.

trust me this was talked about a lot when the "PSTWO" came out

if you're talking about the general ps2 then no, it hasnt overheated

plus i found out the AC adapter plugs for ps2 overheat but that really isnt the console

Mine did up until a month ago when the drive started making noise when it opened which I am sure my brothers friend did something to it when he borrowed it.

Mine still works. I got it on launch day and never got a disk read error. (but I never move it or take it places so...maybe if I was more rough with it I might have had problems.) Of coure now that I say that I'm going to get a disk read error tonight while playing Shadow of the Colossus

launch systems, original batch.....

it was caused from the rear fan not working. our store had 3 returns out of 66 sold for this problem back then. and were only a small mom and pop shop
