Well I can tell you right now im a shity artist. I don't need to prove it. I don't blam everything I see but shit has been showing up in abundance lately.

Every time I find something I like I give it a 5 to try to counter some blammage. Hell more then half the stuff I try to protect never makes it.

I agree with him, i seen a lot of people bash up movies when the movies are pretty good when the users who do that are no talent morons that can't even make a flash or don't even have it installed! ( lol watch the " tribute to animators movie " . anyways i don't have a movie yet but thats because

1. no time
2. i have a job
3. im in school
4. when i get the time ill make a kick ass movie, and yes i do know flash . im actually surprised because last week i didn't know and i taught myself. anyways ill probably have a movie soon, hopefully, i just need the time to work on it.

People who don't use Flash can vote on stuff on NG, but you shouldn't just say "Oh, this isn't the greatest thing ever" and hit it with a 0.

An average NG user can come in and say "This isn't entertaining me, I'll give it a 1 or a 2", that's fine. If you've never used Flash, or haven't used it much at all, it's pretty hard for you to determine which movies involved no effort at all. Those are the only movies that deserve 0, ones which involved no effort at all. So unless it's blatantly obvious that the person spent like 15 minutes making it, then go ahead with your 0. Otherwise, maybe you should consider a 1 instead.

Oh yeah, one more thing, if you've never made a movie, don't write reviews as if you're some kind of expert on Flash just because you watch movies at NG.

No, I'm saying you can vote, but should take into account that you don't fully understand what you are voting on, and allow leeway for that.

In case you haven't figured this out for yourself yet, I'll spell it out for you: Movie critics are idiots. They don't know what they are talking about, and it's not very smart to rely on their opinons.

May I remind you that Titanic won like 13 Oscars, despite the fact that a very very large number of people loathed it, and the Academy are supposed to be the penultimate movie critics.

Look, I been learning to use flash for about 2 months or so now, and my movies are worst than crap, so I don't bother submitting them, but because I dont submitt means I can't have an opinion? ok, I understand there are some assholes that go and blam anything w/out even watchin the movie (even with the new system the do it, they just don't care), but the purpose of submitting flash here is for plp to view it, regardless of they having or not flash, they have the right to say "I like it" or "I don't like it". and anyway, have you been to the portal lately? there has been a LOT of serious crap recently, not ALL of it, but the mayority, so we have to blam it, just 'cause some of us don't submitt doesn't changes the fact that a lot of movies are crap.

I disagree..... I have not submitted any movies to newgrounds yet, but I still have an outstanding idea of what it takes to make a great flash movie. I know how long it takes and what is involved. Just because someone doesn't have movies on newgrounds, it doesn't meant that they aren't working on some. Not all of us have enough free time to make movies. Still there are some people out there that vote and write reviews that have no clue and vote unjustly, but that is just the way it goes.

Ok, movie crtics study movies and then compile educated intricate reviews pinpointing what is and is not good about a movie. NG reviewers that write "FUCK YOU FAG ILL KILL YOU FUCKER SHIT PISS THIS IS CRAP." should not be compared to movie critics. These are the people he is talking about. These people don't write reviews, they compile text shit.

You know what, kiss my ass, just because I don't make movies dosen't mean I can't have an opinion on what I think is good or bad...and if your movie gets blammed big whoopdee fuck it's a WEBSITE for god's sake, your not getting paid for submitting, or getting any real respect at all, some people are fair (I try to be) and some are dicks...it happens, deal with it...and get outside every now and again, because I strongly believe people who post messages like yours spend an unhealthy amount of time on here anyway.

I believe your predjudice is better directed towards those individuals who _do_ know better. It seems to me that there is more focus from veteran voters to be biased towards amateurs, sticks, clocks, etc, rather than those critical of a flasher's genuine efforts. Just because a flash-ignorant person enjoys this medium as a form of artistic self-expression doesn't mean he or she has an opinion that doesn't count. You can't have art without those who appreciate it.

when it comes down to it viewers could care less how much effort was put into a movie, if that was the case everyone would get good scores and the line between what is good and wht is not would blur. The most important thing is whether or not in the end there's a good product.

I choose not to make movies because I don't have the extra time to, but I understand that it's hard, and I do keep that in mind when voting and reviewing. Especially if someone says its their first or second movie.
