If Bungie wants the Halo series...

...to be taken seriously, then they really need to distribute it to other consoles. All it's looking like right now is a cash cow for Microsoft to milk. What with Xbox representatives talking about releasing Halo 3 on the same day as the PS3, along with many other situations.

Hell, Rockstar did it with GTA for pretty much the same reasons, and it worked out. For me to see them as something other than a steady source of income for Microsoft, they're going to have to start porting.

I dont think Bungie can, actually. I think they signed a contract with Microsoft to only make Halo for them. I could be wrong, though.

Halo was supposed to be a PC game, released for PC and then Xbox. Until Microsoft baught bungie and they put off Halo for PC until after Halo 3 is out. They have to dumb it down for consoles when they could release a great PC game like they origionally planned.

They released Halo for PC, but it was pretty bad, the frame rate was way off. I am 99% sure they did all of this to make Halo for Xbox look better.

Yeah, you probably are wrong about that. Nintendo did that back in the 80s with all of their 3rd party development companies. A judge later ruled that illegal though, so my guess is that Microsoft owns Bungie.
