This is a very pleasant suprise. You know what a true goth is. I also know and would like to point this out. yes I like the stereotypical music but i also like the culture, the art the history of the culture (NOT BARBARIC GERMAN TRIBE) and the Philosophy.

That or a producer/follower of a specific style of rock music. These "followers" often choose to express their taste by being emo, wearing black clothes, and acting like a elitist douche.

Because goths are mopey annoying whiny little bitches who rant about suicide all day long but don't have the balls to do it. Sure, you could say I'm stereotyping but I have yet to ever meet any one goth who did not fit this definition.

Though maybe I'm a tad biased out of sheer hatred. I once messed with a goth so much that he mentioned me in his suicide note. I was kind of pissed though. He didn't even have the courtesy to use the razor blades I gave him for his birthday a few months beforehand.

What all the "true goths" out there who give out about depressed angst ridden teens in a pair of new rocks and trench coats don't understand, is that the term "goth" is a societal thing...

In the states, "Goth" may refer to any number of cultures, but in Ireland its got one use, and one use ONLY. The term "goth" is used to describe those annoying depressants who dress in all black, new rocks boots, lots of spikes, crappy black makeup, etc etc... like it or not you "true goth" elitist pillocks... thats what a goth is... in Ireland

i hate Goths, and I can say that, because every single Goth ( irish term, rememeber ) is EXACTLY the same. I was never a goth, but a friend of mine went through a light goth phase, we hung out in the one and only goth hangout joint in my town, and as i talked to them, i realised, i can't stand them...

in Ireland, being Goth is almost ALWAYS a phase... theres very few goths in Cork over the age of 20.

they are incredibly two faced people... the women stab each other in the back, and are incredibly fake, socially... its a bit hollywood-esque...

i dont like goths, i dont like the company of goths... even that description is shitty, its hard to describe the collective personality of Goths... but trust me... its annoying

Because a lot of people conform to the belief that you should hate people who conform to beliefs.

because they are stupid, its ok to like anny music you want, but there is no reason to try and be the music,

goths also go for the whole "i'm a social misfit" image in order to get attention, how dumb is that, if i needed attention the first thing i would do is not try to seperate myself from society.
Often when there whole image (clothes, make up, and shit) is all on they sit together in big groups, creating a small society or group of people, thus there whole image has gone and they are creating what they are tryong to rebel against.

Goth chicks are never ever hot either, maybee on the net but never in real life.

I'm a goth myself and yet I hate every single one of them. I'll be honest, if not blunt, The reason people hate goths so much is because is they have become whiney little cunts who seem to outcast those who outcast them. Some of the people who call themselves a goth don't even know what the true meaning of being a goth was. It wasn't all about wearing a ton of make-up or the kind of music you listen to. It was about being yourself. Of course you wore the black clothes, but it wasn't about how it showed the inside of your soul, as so many would like to put it. It was nothing more than a symbol to show that you were different from everybody else. Nowadays they have stores for this, when before hot topic you just simply bought second hand clothing. In short being a goth isn't about being sad and depressed all the time, its about being yourself and being content with just that.
