I need a good explination on how to fade in and out. Something unlike the tutorials that read like it was written in Greek.

u know how to make tweens, right. okay then. start with whatever u r starting with in the first frame. they make the other keyframe however far u want. make sure they r both symbols. then on the first frame, right click and create motion tween. on the last frame, click on the symbol. go to properties, then for color where it should say none, click on it and select alpha. make the alpha 0%. in case u didnt know, alpha is pretty much an objects transparency. so, test it out, it should work.

Yeah, use the alpha tab. Just in case you didn't know, you have to convert the object you want to fade in or out to a button / movie clip / graphic, then right click the object and go to panels, and you'll find alpha there.
