Additionally, we are now hiding the scores for movies with less than 100 votes. It doesn't take long for a movie to get 100 votes, since the first 100 voters are rewarded for casting fair scores. We realized a while ago that voters were simply "going with the crowd" and casting a high score if they felt the movie would be protected, and a low vote if they thought it would be blammed. Now, however, the score is a mystery - so you will need to view the submission before deciding its destiny.
Damn you guys are clever. The hidden scores idea is excellent and definitely going to be effective.

Good idea, guys. I like the animosity better; makes people have to actually watch before voting for their precious points.

Oh no, now I can't go around and click on millions of movies wihtout viewing...
Pfffft...
Good idea.
One problem, why are there still movies on the rankings page that have surely been deleted in the past week? Will they be cleaned out tonite (Tuesday nite, Wednesday morning)?
I do think listing the votes is a good idea. Seeing a "?" is kind of pissy. Even if you can see the vote count, you don't know what the score is, so you'll have to view. I would recomend bringing that part back.

well tom and wade must have read the other post. cause they now changed it so that when u click view all it says under jugdement. But no worries on my end. I have found three other ways to know the voting stats. what are they? I am not telling then tom and wade ill fix it. so I will keep it to myself.

Yes, but people with slooooooow connections also find
difficult to VOTE, even if votes are in in first place!
Anyway, if there are at least 20 new movies
a day, there is plenty of good movies as there are
of bad ones. Check out the author rank and the
vote, always from the portal itself! This rules
for sllllooooww connections :)
Well, before I got my curent connection, I had a 56K, and it was fast enough to vote on movies, but too slow to view movies above 500K, so you see, now, with this system, people with slow connections will be even more impaired and disadvantaged for their blam/protection points than the others.
In the first case, the movie is going to be blammed
soon (1.00 limit @ 50 votes IIRC), in the second,
it's just plain STUPID! Why you should deprive a potential Today Feature the place it deserves with a 0?
Sorry, it was a typing error which I realised only after posting, I meant there is nothing wrong if you vote 3 on that movie.
The new system simply makes the difference from pimping
for the point to voting for its quality!
Look, frankly, I don't like the new system that much, but I'm not totaly against it either, all movies should get a fair chance, but honestly, have you ever heard of an A movie being blammed? The worst thing that could happen before was that a movie deserving a 2 got blammed, now, if people vote according to the reviews or the grades, better movies might go bye-bye and crappier ones could stay. Now, as I have said, only time will tell if this new system works and watever I say now is pure speculation.
HOW ABOUT GIVING THIS SYSTEM ONE WEEK OR TWO OF TRIAL, THEN HAVE PEOPLE VOTE ON A POLL TO SEE IF IT SHOULD STAY, GO OR BE IMPROVED.

I like how all the n00bs are whining about this. This one is for all the artists out there eh? Kudos to Tom/Wade and liljim for finally doing this.
Still a world famous superstar.

Another thing, this can open up some issues on the portal hiding the voting score... people can start IP spoofing and not everyone will realize it til their crap's permanently on the portal.

Oh..And..Uhh...WHAT THE HELL IS MICHAEL JACKSON BABY DROP DOING ON THE FRONT PAGE??? I Mean, Really..Everything that could suck about this game, does. The Graphics blow old donkeys, and the game play is fuckin un original as it gets. It's based of a damn Atari game. Dear God, I could only play the game for so long before I started wishing I was dead.

Sounds good but the roll over thing dosen't work for me. When i put my pointer over a title it makes the whole of the top 50 got to the bottom of the page and then i can't click on any thing makeing the portal impossible for me to use :(

i think the score hiding is a great idea, it was pathetic how some movies had twice as many votes as views. the little descriptions that you get when you roll over the titles are tight too. nice upgrades! keep em comin!

Ya thanks for generalizing everyone Wade. I appreciate it.

This update's better... now people won't vote with the crowd - so if the first person was dumb enough to try to blam an excellent movie, the rest won't go with him, and if another dumb person tries to save a total shit on flash, it still has its chances of dying. Yeah... this is good. The grades given to the authors are good too.

You know, to have a better update, you can also make users vote on crappy movies again - movies with extremely low scores, or all movies that have been inactive for a while with not much votes and views should be shown in a window in the portal again to either get blammed, or saved again, just to double-delete garbage from Newgrounds.

Hey
I was checking out one of my movies and it said something like "YOU CANNOT REVIEW THIS MOVIE, IT IS STILL UNDER JUDGEMENT"
Whats that all about?
