It seems that the pen tip is no longer connected to the rest of the pen. I got it working a few times by shoving some duct tape into the front and pushing it in with a paperclip, but now it's really dead. Everything else works ok, it's just the pen tip. I'm planning on cutting the end open to try and fix it, but before I do that, does anyone have an suggestions on how to fix it? Preferably not just "buy a new pen", since being a student makes on very, very poor. Thanks in advance!

I did consider that, but it just so happens I didn't register my tablet within 30 days of purchase with Wacom, and my retailer only has a 30 day warranty.

I dont use those pen things which is a good thing because a mouse would probably be much cheeper to replace...

And I used to use a mouse to draw as well, but the pen gave me a hell of a lot more control over my lines. It was nice while it lasted...still, anyone out there with a fix? Some kinda voodoo magic or something?

While we're on the subject of how to fix things that break, my ipod headphones broke in half. How do i fix them?

You could use glue to stick 'em back together. But I'm not really sure about what you mean by "half"...the gray part come off? Or did it just split apart entirely? Pictures would be nice. Unless you're mocking me and inferring that my pen is unfixable, in which case pictures wouldn't be nice :(

You could maybe get it replaced, or you could get a refund and buy a new pen...

haha. Really good, aint it Luis? But youve gotta admit it. The mouse can be a pain at times.
And... really sorry to hear your pen broke. :( Perhaps you could use something else?

They are pens of plastic. All tablets only respond to the pen that comes with it ( i don't know what material the tip is, so...). That means that the tablet will also not respond to your fingers, if that helps you better understand.

Ow, thats in some part good. And thats really expensive. Too bad it only detects wacom pens. Perhaps, hey, do you have a photo or anything of how your pen broke?

BWahahaaha!!! I fixed it!
It broke because..well, I'm not quite sure.
I ended up sawing the pen end off with an exacto knife, only to discover that one of the wires had come off of the solder points. Simple solution of just soldering it back on and taping up the pen. It works now, but I lost the use of my right click button. But that's not much of a problem, that's rectified by redefining the buttons, 'cept now I'm missing a button. Thanks for the replies guys, you all rock.

it will just be a broken ire just solder the tip back in (if you have a soldering iron) if not well then... just get a bit of copper wire and loop it around the end of the tip and the connection in the pen simple =D
if you have no idea on what im talking about (if on campas) go ask a tech student
