Hello i feel this needs to go back ^UP^

hey everyone. i bought this really cool book called "Macromedia Flash MX Game Design Demystified". i swear, it has tons of scripts like for enemies and stuff like that. it shows u how to make a pinball game, pool, mazes with enemies, and other really good stuff. its very useful. so, if u have $50 to spare, go to your local book store and buy it. i swear, u wont be dissapointed.

*extra info on the book*
the author is Jobe Makar (no, its not a fancy phrase for job maker). it has a big frog on the front and a whole bunch of little frogs. also, it has some gradients and the cover is mainly blue. it looks pretty fancy and it is very thick. it has a cd in the back which contains a whole bunch of files and a trial version of flash.

lol... I'm bored, too. I noticed in another thread you recommended Jobe Makar's latest book... I read through the index and table of contents on amazon, now I'm asking you, if you don't mind. Do you think the book can teach someone, after going through it all, to make a game similar to contra? That's the closest example to the game I've been working on to describe it.

Also, if there are any programmers who want to collaborate on a game, I have characters, a plot, and levels planned out. I'm probably going to buy that Makar book (it's on sale for $35), but I think it would be really cool to make a game with someone who knows what they're doing in the programming field. I can draw, and animate all right, just don't know programming too hot, plus group work is always more fun, as all members give their input, and make the game that much better.

alls it does is zoom in, but if you apply that to a background MC it looks like your progressing:D umm does anyone got code for shooting things? like the code for the projectile

ummmmm is it possible to have several different movie clips act as one but operate independantly? like if s1, s2, and s3 were grouped together as 's'? so if i told s to do something, it would happen to all 3 of them?

Well, I'm back, hopefully. It's been the holidays so I had to pry myself from the computer so I could spend time with my family and etc. But who cares about that. Also everyone who gave me advice on the Movie script thing, thanks.
