lol... I'm bored, too. I noticed in another thread you recommended Jobe Makar's latest book... I read through the index and table of contents on amazon, now I'm asking you, if you don't mind. Do you think the book can teach someone, after going through it all, to make a game similar to contra? That's the closest example to the game I've been working on to describe it.
Also, if there are any programmers who want to collaborate on a game, I have characters, a plot, and levels planned out. I'm probably going to buy that Makar book (it's on sale for $35), but I think it would be really cool to make a game with someone who knows what they're doing in the programming field. I can draw, and animate all right, just don't know programming too hot, plus group work is always more fun, as all members give their input, and make the game that much better.
