somthing very bad has happened... very bad...
i was saving my fla and flash froze :/
now i have a courrupted fla and i have to restart, can i recover it? in ANY way?

If your talking about not being able to open it again in Flash then I dont really see a way. But if you did an .swf, you could use a program to salvage as much as you can.

sorry, u cant recover it. thats why i press ctrl + s like after every 5 brushstrokes. btw, i didnt get it earlier when u said add more y's, can u explain it a bit more please?

You don't need that _y, you have to tell Flash what to do with it and frankly I don't get your script, its weird and messed up, since you put the Scripting in the Van MC, you didn't have to use _root.van you just should have used this.

i didnt make the whole thing. and actually, i do need the _root.van in part of the script. like where it says _root.van.gotoAndPlay (2) and stuff like that, i need it. but anyway, i think i should talk to the person who origionally gave me this script. and btw, does anyone know simply a script for boundries?

Well you must make a wall with the Alpha set at 0%, then put something like this if the Van is on the Wall, then set the alleceraltion speed to a negative X and Y value, that why it will rebound it off it. I'll play around with the scripting in making it. I can't think of it off of memory but it is something like that.

Try these:

Put this in your MC "Wall":

onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
if (this.hitTest(_root.Wall)) {

}

Now try this one:

if (this.hitTest(_root.Van)) {

Ok now try these in your MC "Van":

You will most likely have to start over. Do yourself a favor. Save the FLA file twice when you start working on it. (I do this all the time.) Use two different names for them. One should be "Backup.fla" and the other be whatever you want it to be. Work on the main one. Once you've made a lot of progress keep saving the main one. If it saves without screwing up, then save over the Backup. This way if the main one gets screwed, you'll be able to take the backup out and resume not far from where you left off. Then just save from the Backup another main. LOL I hope you understand this.

2. make the van MC on the main Stage. name it van
3. right click the van mc and input this code:
