If you're living in Australia, the Australian Centre for the Moving Image in Melbourne is having an Independent Games Showcase featuring Alien Hominid and Gish!

For all the people who are clueless about NG history... Alien Hominid is a game that was originally made by Dan Paladin and I and submitted to NG - you can play it here! We partnered with some friends to form a company called "the Behemoth" and proceeded to make a console version for the PS2 and Gamecube in the US, as well as PS2 and XBOX in Europe! There's also a GBA version coming out!

Gish is a totally hot PC game that was dreamed up by Edmund McMillen, known for his morbidly genius Newgrounds submissions such as Carious Weltling. You can check out Gish and buy it on-line!

Both games are on display and playable at the ACMI from now through December 11th. Other great independent games are there as well, go check 'em out!

In related news... We've slashed prices at the Alien Hominid on-line store! For a mere $39.99, you can now own both AH for the PS2 or Gamecube AND a box of AH figurines! These are massive savings, so buy now while we're still selling this stuff! You can also buy AH alone for $19.99 - you can almost eBay it for that much! The figurines are now $25.99 by themselves.

Go to AlienHominid.com and have a look!

We have also re-launched the Behemoth website with a new look that is more accomodating for updates. The old site was just Flash and didn't provide much info. If you check it out, you can see updates from IGN Live 2005 as well as stories from the San Diego office!

Speaking of games... We're still hard at work with our next console game! It has been rough lately with getting the office set up and all, but everything is moving along. More on that in the near future!

This is the game JohnnyUtah and I have been working on.

Ooh, nice deal. :o

Too bad I own the game already... Seems kind of like a waste. >:\

But the figurines would be nice.

Well I was planning on buying a DS soon and needed a good starter GBA game so it looks like I cannot go wronng with Alien Hominid and CastleVania: Dawn of Sorrows. I wonder if there will be any gameplay teaks to the GBA version of AH?

Awesome news! The new game was awesome at Comic Con, good to hear that it's coming along. I might have to get a GBA just so I can play AH at home and everywhere else too. What's different from the GBA version from the console version? Good luck at the festival :)

I want news on Ye Olde Side-Scroller and the GBA version of Alien Hominid. What's going to be the name of the new side scroller? When's it come out? New screen shots? Is AH for the GBA ever going to get a US license? When's that coming out?

Also, just a side note (even though you wouldn't trell me anyway) are there any plans to make a sequal of Alien Hominid? That'd be cool.

Also, again, I think it would be awesome if you got Alien Hominid on the PSP. There's like 2 good games out for the PSP and (to my knowledge) no side-scrollers yet. It'd kick ass and look really pretty.

I suck.

Great news! Hope to hear more about the new game soon!

Also, I know someone mentioned a PSP game but maybe you should make a DS game =D

Just think of all the options you could use for that!

I love the picture on the site, OMG PRICE DROP.

You should release a PC version of Alien Hominid, that way you can play it without needing an internet connection.

One question though, why is it that the NG t-shirts are more expensive on the Alien Hominid site than in the NG Store?
