You can also go to File / Open As Library and select the sound / music file. Make sure that it says "all files" under in the drop-down menu below the filename - it's labeled "files of type", and select your file. Then, in the small window that should've appeared, the music file should be displayed. Drag the music file into your library.

O yeah... Sorry... I forgot this: You may know this already, but I am posting this just to help, in case you don't, or just do not notice this. If you can't find your sound file, make sure that the "File Type" drop-down menu is set to "All Files" - This has happened to many people I was helping before - They couldn't find the audio files, because the menu was set to the default selection: "Flash Movies", so it only showed flash movies instead of sound files.
