America haters come here 2005-11-06 19:03:42 Reply

I keep hearing all about how all other countries hate america, and my social studies teacher said they hate us because they are jealous that we have like 6% of the world's population, but 60% of its riches. I am curious so any forigners that hate/dont like America/Me please confirm because i am really curious why you hate us. And plz dont come in here with some bullshit answer involving religion or some other stupid shit that should have nothing to do with how a country is viewed. No aggressive answers either. I just want a calm answer about why you dont like us. Also no answers that say we are killing the earth or we shouldent be invading other countries or whatever, because I already know that we are and that we shouldnt be. Thank you in advance.

Most of the people that hate america, hate america because of that fact that a lot of americans dont know or care about other countries history/politics unless it concerns themselves.

Why should we care about your history? Politics, sure, but who cares what you did in 1200 AD, how is that relevant to the world of today?

Well it sort of relevant to us today because history usually repeats itself, but other then that i dont really give a shit about what i did 2k years ago, nor will i ever.

Now politics is a different story.

Ok then, if we're saying we don't care about what happened 2000 years ago no more learning about Jesus either.

Jesus came about 2005 years ago(Look at a damn calander), so we would still be learning about him.

Not really the caculation of A.D. is off by six years if it were correct we would already be in the year 2011 so its 2011 years ago

Well I am not sure if this is one of the things you don't want to hear but I will say it anyway with all respect.

What we don't like is the manipulation that the US has held over the world. We don't like being your puppets. The rest of the world is basically your playground since we can't do a damned thing about it. And how do you repay us: You don't know a damn thing about us!

I think thats one aspect

Are you that picky - 2000 years is an accurate enough statement
And 2005 years ago was when Jesus DIED - Mr. Picky
Try around 2035 years.

Intresting, because I've heard from different sources that there is a theory the world will end in 2012. It said that in Egyptian texts, it said that in the Mayan Calander, and 2011 is supposedly the 2000'th birthday of Jesus. People, start digging bomb shelters.

Nah, then it would 060606, each one is seperated by an 0. Now back in 666 AD, not much happened then either except for maybe a couple of Viking pillages.

I agree. It's dishearting to see comments like "We can invade anywhere we want!" and "If we have the power, why shouldn't we take it?" - It's really quite ignorant of people to think like this. Maybe America needs to step outside its own damn shoes and look at the world from their perspective.

Wow, all other countries hate one singular country?

Not all americans fit into that catagory as before - but you know there are some people who really hate France, or Canada, simply because they didn't join the Iraq war :|

Yes, but they have a very specific and relevant reason. This wasn't a long-held grudge, this was for a specific reason.

Like you are going to get anything besides lame excuses and whining. Hate is basic human need, and people do not need a reason, although they may come up with some interesting justifications. That good enough for ya?

Yet you still don't unless you want to start an argument. The UK, for example, is arguably your best friend in the world. And you don't really know our name at all! Stop calling us England, thats one country, we are the United Kingdom of Gret Britain!

Don't believe me? I was here a few weeks and someone said "British? I thought you said you were English!"

Well... America has good intentions all the way, but we just got really, really side-tracked on the way. We are doing the wrong thing for the right reasons, and the right thing for a wrong reason. And we really do need to look at the other countries' points of views once in a while, but really, how much different would it be? Its basicly the same exact thing going on in every country, but with some different variables to make it seem like they are completely opposite countries. I mean honestly. How different are we from the other countries? All of the countries' citizens usually share the same common goal. We all go to school, we all want to get a good job, we all want to start a family, we all want a loving wife/husband, we all want to be happy. The only thing that makes us dislike eachother is a border or two and some oceans. If not for that we would all be at peace, we would all feel like one people. Most all Americans have good intentions..... we just dont know how to carry out with them in the right way. Its sort of how when your a young boy and you like a girl. The only way to express yourself to her that you know of is to fuck with her and piss her off. Once we become alittle older and a more mature country, we will know how to do the right thing, and still not have everyone get pissed at us. Also its kind of like europe and all of the other countries that have been around waaaay longer then the us are the parent, and we are the teenager. We are rebeling and basicly saying fuck you, i dont care what you think, ill do what i want to the rest of the world aka the parent. Once we mature as a country and gain some real history we will be way better off.

Origin play some sort of role, but in modern politics and the current political climates are more important to us than what they were back then. We do look into history to prevent it from being repeated, but the way things were in the Roman Empire are not the same as they are in modernday Italy. We look into history, but we don't dwell on it.

I'm not just talking about 'Well now I dislike them because they didn't go to Iraq', I'm talking about the people who seriously hate them.

Such as this individual:
'I said it once and I'll say it again.

I DON'T LIKE QUEBEC AND I DON'T LIKE CANADA. LET'S UNLEASH AGENT ORANGE AND NAPALM ON THEM LIKE WE DID TO THE VIETNAMESE!

Quebec and Canada are both arrogant socialist states bent on a demonic domestic agenda of catering.'

Follow this Anti-Canadian weblink - its kinda scary in a way.
I think the enemy category is correct. After all, with "friends" like Canada, who needs enemies?

I know this isn't the majority of Americans (at least I hope not), but there are people out there who seem to just 'hate' other countries, for whatever reason they have. These are the type of people I'm refering to.

P.S. - I like Americans and the US (my dad is American, actually) - but I don't like the Bush administration :)

Well see dude, america is only like 300 years old(correct me if im wrong), so thats pretty recent history. Not that many people know how china was formed because it was so long ago, and no one hears about it anymore.

So? Our name is the United States of America. But everyone calls us "America." I personally don't mind, but other countries in America can get upset sometimes.

I would say most people can tell the difference, but I could be wrong.
