Canada has been one of the top 5 countries to live in for the past 10 or 12 years. Why do people keep comparing the U.S. and Canada? If you want my opinion I think the whole damn North American continent is a great place to live, compared to the Asian continent (especially the middle east) where you have all sorts of zealots running around.

Both countries have there strenghts, while Canada does have the highest standard of living in the world, America has the power to destroy the world 6 times over. So yah, even if Canada is better socialy and ethicaly, when it comes to capitalism and persuit of power America is the leader.

Really it's just a choice in preference, Canada being more left leaning, America being Conservative(on a whole comapred to any other western countries to-date). If you're in the upper class, America is probably great. America being the home of capitalism at its finest. If your not wealthy Canada is proably more your taste, high taxes and greater equality. Very socialistic by American standards.

2. We have the most diverse landscape in the world. from the desciduous nothern pacific forests to our plains in central canada and arctic north.
