I once made a seat registration for a LAN party (called globelan)
which they for some reason still use.
If you want, I can give you the source for it

You can see it in action here :
GlobeLAN seat registration
It uses a PNG image creation and image maps.

I think that's more up to yourself. Just try to find out what's needed, or what you think that's needed. :)

I agree. With that said, with more elaboration that kind of tutorial can be VERY useful. Just add some more things to it.

Hey guys, I wanted your oppinions on something.

On the next update, I'm thinking of adding a "new" marker next to each tutorial that was added since the last page.

So a new tutorial line would look like this:

* NEW * PHP: Storing Cookie Info by Jams44

What do you guys think of that?

It's a lot better. Because than people will know which tutorial is new added in the list. It does takes some more time to create the list - but's that up to you. ;)

lol.

OK, so thanks for the feedback guys. I'll definitley be including it in the next update.

And Zendra, it will take a little bit longer to update, but if it makes PHP: Main better then it's no problem.

Just out of curiosity, have any of you guys ever heard of PEAR and PECL?

http://pear.php.net/
http://pecl.php.net/

If i was hiring a /professional/ PHP programmer and s?he didn't know what PEAR was, s?he's get laughed the fuck out of the room.

Sure. The PDF generator is awesome. But there are a lot of great extensions.

This is just another reason why PHP is such a great language.

During the summer, I was working with ASP. We wanted to generate an Excel spreadsheet. It was dificult, and I had to use a partialy complete library.

Then with PHP, you can just download the PEAR excel spreadsheet writer library, and it's awesome.

PHP just kills ASP for this reason alone. All the great things you can do with pure PHP.

BTW all, please try not to post in this thread for sometime because I'm not going to be home for a few hours, and I wont be able to make the update right away.

Thanks.
