I heard that GoDaddy is pretty good, although I can't speak from personal experience. They seem to have good cheap offers though.

apt-hosting.net is pretty good and cheap but you have to buy your domain from godaddy or any other domain registrar

You should really post this in the Programming forum, as that's where it would be more relative.. but still, try Canaca.Com anyway..

Take a look at these free ones.

www.roachhost.com
www.dhost.info
www.xhost.info

You can probably get better shit for money, but free stuff is always good.
(Unless they put ugly ads all over your website, like Geocities does.)

Geocities Upgraded their standards, I like them they are very easy to start out with and provide some pretty damn good support to me.

For $8 a month you can get a 2.5 GB server with 100 GB of transfer, and they now support practically every web language out there, as well as great tools to aid you in your site building.

I use them, 2.5GB isn't the best in the world, but it's great to start up with and it includes a Domain Name with 25 Email Addresses too.

It really depends on what you need.

I still wouldn't use them! You can get much better hosting features for $8 a month.

True, but there are also some perks to using Geocities.
Not only have they been around for a while giving them some essence of reliability, but they give you alot off free trials and upgrades for patronage and signing up.
Especially the offers for search engine optimizers and things to draw traffic, , and they respond to your needs very quickly.

It's my choice for now, I mean if you're looking for good space and such I'd go with www.servage.net
