For someone who has never done any real military service Pressident Bush is really pushing for war. The UN has been trying to find a peaceful solution to Iraq for the past 6 months, yet all I hear from America is "War, War, War, War!" Really shouldn't war be a last resort? I'm not opposed to force when needed, yet why would he push so hard for war when there's a good chance the problem can be solved other ways? Now I'm not saying Iraq is not a threat, a threat created by past American foriegn policy, but the fact is if it were only about the weapons America would not be pushing this hard for war. America has a vested interest in war, oil. You know how it goes, "To the victor goes the spoils." It's hard for me to believe that of the countless wars, conflicts, and atrocities going on in this world right now our Pressident actualy gives a damn about liberating the Iraqia people. I mean call it what it is, we all know America needs oil to run. I really couldn't care what country America rapes for resources, it's what runs America. However, I can't stand this false image that our Pressident is presenting. It's about oil, pain and simple.

It's simple. Bush is pushing for war to attempt to cover up for not finding bin Laden and for the fact that he is incompetent.

Another big reason Bush wants war is that he most likely trying to keep people from realizing how shity our economy has gotten. Another reason that involves the economy is that after WWII the great depresion ended. In other words war may help the economy.Plus oil is power.

FDR solved the depression reguardless of war. Unemployment was falling drasticly even before America started to produce weapons of war.

FDR died before WWII even ended so how could he have solved the depression? Not to mention women didn't have work before the war hmmmm.War helped because we had plenty of jobs opening up for people without jobs but this was the 30s so it probaly won't help like it did in the 30s but it may help.

He was Pressident during the great depression. Unemployment was cut in half through social programs and deficit financing. Read a fucking history book.
