i recently opened my website

alot of time and work went into makeing the best that i could, piss take out of porno websites out there, you know the ones, where theres some teenage girl who 'made' the site. well this time i did.

thanks to this newgrounds programming community for some of the help it give out, and liljim too, he was there at one point! shame i got a 30 day ban or i would have used and abused your guys php knolage more! as i am a art guy.

also just wondering how can i improve on getting people to click about, [bar changing the porno content] as you can see the image thumb open a bigger popup with the image in, and under the image you can post a comment, but people dont seem to be doing this, just coming and going...

lol very nicely done! graphics are great and you specifically tell your audiences what they are supposed to see, although i had some firefox trouble with the tables everything else looked fine. Ok, you said that you didnt care if the layout didnt look right in FF. That is not right. It would not be right if it didnt display in IE, and it's not right now. We are in the age where we have to code to several different browser standards, because not all browsers have made the change to W3C standards. That it's self is partially because of all of the amature scripters out there who dont use the standards them self. I mean why switch when the majority of your audience uses what you provide and not what you don't?

But back to the point. You need to code, to make it look right in all browsers. It can be hard at times, but in the end it is worth it. I mean I know i had trouble making my site(in progress) work for IE, but I now have it so it works for IE and FF. This isnt withough help from one other though. I need to read into cross browser XHTML (/HTML for refrence) more.

Oh my gosh. I'm sorry, but he's an idiot. Yknow why IE displays the scrollbars and FF doesn't? It's not valid CSS! Look it up! I ran my CSS through the W3C validator and it's not valid.

You really have alot to learn and I'm surprised that while on these forums you didn't learn that firefox is recomended and much better than IE. It is always good to make sure that the layout works on several or all browsers. But these days the amount of firefox users is increasing rapidly so you may want to make your site work for firefox if you want more visitors.

Although firefox does have a growing user base, I.E still used by the majority of users. Its still wrong to not cater for it at all, but the site gave me a chuckle as did the firefox hate page.

FF is much nicer to look at and I looked at my webstats and started making my site more compatible with FF than IE. So to tell FF users to fuck off when you're charging $ for premium access to your immature site, then I think you have a problem.

Sorry man, but when it comes down to it, we all are against the fact that you didn't make this compatible with IE, Firefox, Netscape Navigator etc.

I don't have much against people who use IE but I hate the program and I'll never use it on my own computer ever again. But put it this way. If someone made a site that only worked Firefox and not IE, I would think that is pretty stupid too. It needs to be compatible with as many browsers as possible. (We wouldn't have to go through all this trouble if all the company's that created these browsers came together and made just one browser that everyone used. I hate the way there are more than one browser!)

Personally I hate both browsers because neither of them render css/xhtml quite right, although IE is a much bigger culprit when it comes to this. I just make sure my site displays correct in both. I also use both for testing purposes, but I tend to use IE for browsing simply because I'm used to it. I don't need any fancy features, I just need it to display a web page.

I mostly like firefox because of the built in popup blocker and I find that my computer just all together runs faster while running firefox rather than IE. I guess it all depends on a persons preference though. I never really knew about other browsers till awhile ago and only used IE as well. I saw a link to firefox on www.fat-pie.com and decided to try it out. I found I liked it alot better. But I definately don't really use Firefox for fancy features.
