here comes the TLDR post. but those who do choose to read it may be offended or intruiged. i can't sleep so i'll be on AIM.
ohh, it's just a kid dictating his NG behavior into real life,
he strikes me as the kind of person who writes short stories about his life, which involve voting 0 on a lot of movies and not depositing experience.
much like the way the lv3 neutral aura did a 5 word post written with 3s and 4s.
they're not trying to be 1337 or something dumb like that, they're just sharing thier voting patterns in a way that it won't be boring to each other and people who are not in on the gag.
watch this kid have a lot of B/P points but also have a garbage whistle. meaning that he's just passionate about newgrounds but likes nothing on it at all, and just likes to fuck around. just let him stay at level 1, if he starts depositing he may be one of the most passionate people on this site, and you never know, he might have some flash talent. i didn't look at his profile yet but i remember people by the way they look, and the way they talk. i have no interest in talking to this person, but look forward to any flashes this young person will eventually make, which will likely contain things that he actually likes, and by viewing them, the people who make cartoons who want to pander to a certain age group, such as for selling merchandise or selling a game, or simply for the purpose of entertainment.
hell, i used to watch beyblade, yu-gi-oh, dragonball z and pokemon.
still do when they're on tv. never bothered with the tapes.
i got some of the shit they were trying to sell too.
my beyblade is a custom triple razor ring bear type (by the way if anyone has an ursaring sticker it would be quite appropriate for this), and my deck is mostly elemental oldschool with a few newer tricks tossed in here and there. i recently found them both after putting them away a long time ago. hell, i only got the beyblade because my nephew wanted to get one, but didn't want to put it together himself, so asked for my help. he got excited and opened the box before we got home, and i saw that it was a oldschool snap together plastic kits, like those gundam models that i used to get a kick out of. i always had a passion for models, but didn't like the gluing part because it hurt my head.
i managed to break the spell pokemon had on me, but i've been showing some signs of weakness, such as drinking too much pop which is something i used to do to go after the rare dark types later on in pokemon gold version, and as a result, i just saw an episode of pokemon, and it was shockingly intruiging...
i got back into pokemon when my nephew asked me to raise his pokemon for him, because he wanted to link up with his friends who have leaf green and/or fire red, he needed to have all 8 badges. i have a 4 way link cable i got at wal mart that i forgot to give him, or i could save it for a special occaison... or when i get a copy of pokemon for myself then i could school him and his friends all at the same time like i used to do in my mom's hometown.
i would have my pokemon deck, which were just a bunch of basic cards from the older booster packs which later on specialized in poison. once i got my spearow out on the table, even in a 4 way battle, they knew that they would have to take it out quickly. because i overused the "agility" skill, which hit for 30 damage, and had invincibility as the result of a coin flip. at first we had our own rules, which involved no coin flips, no damage counters (the damage was calculated on a piece of paper and nothing else) all the numbers were doubled and halfs in some of the matches, the specualtion and rules of pokemon duels were often decieded with rock paper scissors.
the rule system was eventually scrapped and we just switched to the official rules (either wanting to go legit after being schooled in a tournement, or because of "pokemon trading card" for the GBC, which was sold cheap so it became somewhat popular so card trading was encouraged, as it often introduced rare cards that most of us have never seen before, unless you count that guy who uses japanese pokemon cards but doesen't understand thier attacks or how they work, just the damage and element. he's easy to beat in a one on one match if you take him out quickly before he draws a rare card that has only a few short words and a simple description that he eventually came to understand, or the ones that are unavailable around here so he would be able to pretend he understands the language despite just making it up. i hated those.
"what's that?"
"it's a... shell thingy."
"looks like a badly drawn omanyte..."
"then it is! i evolve it to omastar!"
"omastar? what does that one do?"
"spike cannon, and it has a pokemon power (red text)."
"what does the pokemon power do?"
"i haven't figured it out yet. i'll look it up on the internet later."
"okay. but for now, since you don't know what it is, don't use it. if you try to make something up, we'll know. and if you still choose to make something up, we're all gonna make up powers too, and hurt your feelings despite getting a good laugh out of the ridiculous powers we come up with."
"heh, i think i'll do just that. omastar has the power to..."
all of us (with clenched fists):"USE SPIKE CANNON."
"um.. use spike cannon."
*spike cannon*
then we would all focus our attack on that one person.
once he looked up all the information, he transferred it to a card template and printed it out, and by then at least one of us would want to find out what the hell this pokemon can do, so there would likely be a card catalog, which we would all look at so as to insure honesty.
gotta love that desire to learn, even if it is about useless shit. next thing you know they're writing school essays on pokemon, or writing blogs about them.
