Didn't Bush use the secret service to get one of his daughter's boyfriends out of jail when he was arrested for being drunk?

Yes, Jenna Bush was caught at Sixth Street for MIP and was ticketed for that.

Im with you on that one. I don't see why she is supposed to be any different then any other teenager. Personally, I have a problem with the drinking age entirely. In this country somehow you are an adult in all aspects, responsible for all that you do, except drink........you can't make that decision for yourself till you are 21.

I gotta agree with you also. Yes, there would be proportionatly more alcohol related incidences in 18 year olds than with 21 year olds. That is because the are proportionally more stupid people at the age of 18 than 21 year olds. The same could be said of 21 year olds and 30 year olds. Society sets an age at which we are adults and fully responceble for our actions. That should also be the age when the choice to drink is made.

But couldnt those incidences be related to the fact that they are not allowed to drink before 21. I dont think that it has anything to do so much with 18 yr olds being stupider then 21 yr olds (god knows i know a lot of stupid 21+ people) but like all things, you get better with experience. The same goes for drinking.

If people are raised in an environment that is not restrictive on alcohol, and children learn from their parents to drink responsibly, drinking won't be a big deal and alcohol related stupidity will decrease.

I aslo agree but the was not the main thrust of my point. What I meant is that, on average, an 18 year old is more bravado induced mistake prone than a 21 year old. However, since the 18 year old is just as leagly responceble for his actions, he should be allowed the same rights and responceblities.

Yeah. He kept saying he was Jenna's (I think) boyfriend, but the Bush clan later claimed that he was only a "friend". What a pussy. "I know the prez-uh-dint's dawtur, let me owt of jail or you'll be having some uncomfertuhble IRS awdits..."

No. There are people who do not learn from their parents even if their parents were restrictive. It all has to do with how THEY think, some people grow up around abuse and learn it, some dont. One human, one mind, not learned nor taught.
