Comedy fans!

hey im in a youth theatre called stage2 and in feb we are goin to butlins and doin a kareoke and stuff... Im doin a comedy act, following me and a friend singing all the small things -blink 182... This is the start of it! Please tell me what you think of it, how funny and stuff...

Anyway, a lot of hard work went into this to make it as funny as it is... Actually it was nearly a load of crap, when my co writer sent me the script... I dont want to name names here so i wont but his name was tom bradley,

i have to say i found the script about as funny... as an arrow through the neck. And i prompty asked him if i could change a minor detail... The words.

So as i begin this piece of comedy i would like to say a few words... but if i DID say them i would probably be ejected so errm i wont... That was a waste of time wasnt it?

Apparently random swearing and toilet humour isnt considered FUNNY anymore, i dont know why not though, but i guess we've still got other funny things to enjoy, murder and anthrax etc.

While we're on the subject of murder i've got a funny story... *to myself* (hmm maybe not... a bit too graphic...) Ok i've got one! nope no i havn't...

You know what really annoys me? People who ban teens who wear hoodies in thier buisnesses, just yesterday i was torching down a chip shop and the man kicked me out, that REALLY got to me, im wearing a hoody and so he kicks me out? And the other day i was bricking somebody's house, ya know just for kicks and the guy RANG THE POLICE!! People im speaking out... This discrimination against people who wear hoodies has GOT to stop!

Its not only hoodies, its WEAPONS too! Oh no i hear you all cry, thats not true.. WELL IT IS! Ok, so last holiday i was trying to go abroad and ok il be honest i was carrying a few 12 inch knives and a couple of guns.. Oh and that sword but thats beside the point! Anyway, can you guess what they did when they found all that harmless luggage? They questioned me about it! Where did i get it? Who was i planning to use it on? I was SO angry, what buisness you they have questioning why i was smuggling a stock of weapons illegally???

The script is there but, can you harness the audience's energy and use it too your advantage while keeping the timing on par? The second you choke you got 2 options crash and burn or make a comeback which is comedy gold. Yeah, that's a load of bullshit, wanna fight about it?

Im loving this bit. I always joke about things i do in this way but my friends hardly ever get it.

the middle bit is a bit one-liner-ish, but still fairly good.

And the ending i also like, because theres more to the jokes. Its not one line smirks, but you sorta keep it going and you chose a good topic, one that the audience will understand because most of them are from the UK.

belive me i know funny, and your funny, jsut nail the timeing, some parts i think will hit better if you speed yourself up, but its all in the TIMING!

I dunno how to say this, but it would be funnier "read" out, then just me reading it.

I suppose it could be kinda funny if some flare was put into it by the person reading it.

There's nothing much to explain, I didn't find it funny. The jokes seem too same-ish. I mean, I'm sure with a killer delivery, the whole crowd will be in stitches, but on paper (so to speak) it doesn't seem very funny, I can imagine some kid saying them really badly and around two people laughing.

Maybe you should ask for some suggestions of subjects to chuck in there from the newgrounds community.. After all, who could be funnier than them? :)
