Where do all the finished MP3's go?
Do the corresponding artists just submit them or maybe TheComet submits everyones on his own account? (Don't think so...well....hope so :P)
And if you do, shouldn't there be something like a Code in the Title, like NGCS?
And maybe number them? The Intro being #1 etc.
That way it's easier to find the songs.

Just throwing ideas into the ideabucket.

The answer to that is that I'm going to piece them all together and post them on my site. Each person who took part in this can put their part in the AP if they want too btw.

OK. I'm just now getting f2x's part, I think I'm going to do a little part of my own here, and in a few days I'll pass it on to the next person! :D

btw, could somebody email me the "packs" folder so I can have all the sfx in there? I lost almost all of them when I loaded FL to my new pc (alot of corrupted files)

I mean.. the idea is great and all and it sounds stereo and clear.. but the melodies are so dissonant to eachother. It hurts my ears.

Maybe you should send the flp to me and I could make a non-dissonant version of it, because the tone-settings are all wrong. I hear it.. I feeeelll it..

Hmmm, I do have to agree with Rubbertje.
Although I don't really get annoyed by it, it would sound way better if it wasn't so dissonant.
And as Rubbetje said, the rest is great. Just the tones should be adjusted :P

btw, my part is nearly done, I have it at 4:42 and just have touching up to do. It's a bit DnBish with my usual touch, remixed into it the intro and Z3non's part a bit, sounds pretty good so far :D

WOOHOO i'm getting FL studio 5 producer edition for Xmas :D so not to worry about compatibility and stuff. My dad appeared to have found it at some store i didn't even know u cul get it boxed over here XD on the other hand I'll get it boxed so no lifetime updates but i might get that later.

As in, little contact, not well structured...
I think some people will just walk away from it, I know I will if things don't change soon.

When I first started reading this thread I thought it was an awesome project/idea, then the further and further I kept reading down, page to page it seemed to get a bit more hecktic and disorganized. Just make sure you get through this guys, I really wanna hear the finished product. :) I also wanted to be in it, but I wasn't really into the whole intro and you asked for "good musicians" =P and I'm still quite n00b-ish. Too bad it's going to be around 10 megs (or at least 4+ megs)... so you can't submit to the AP -_-

Maybe if we do enough of these (Ngcs 1, Ngcs 2, Ngcs3...etc.) and they are all too big to get into the AP we can get our own page for it, something like this: http://newgrounds.co..lection/madness.html
except, of course there will be like 30 minute audio tracks instead of flashes. Eh? It's possible and the audio portal needs some serious expanision and recoginition, I've known of the audio portal for like 5 months now but I've been visiting Newgrounds for like 3 years. The flash portal is just so popular and huge it casts it's shadow over the audio portal where you can barely see it. <_< Though putting some audio tracks down on the first page under "ng featured media" was a good step. :D

And so to finish off I have a couple of questions:
- Where is the project at now? Can you give like a recent update of whom has their parts finished and the total length of the song so far?
-How are you fusing all these songs together!? O.o (As in, making smooth transitions between every musicians part.)
-Wouldn't everyone have to write their part with the same tempo?

Well i have finnished mine and since than no sound of the next pice ,the whole thing is about 6-7 minuts so far !

You just continue it , (you recive .flp file to do that)

Well when i was doing it it was at 140 but my pice required 160 so , yes you can change the tempo !

I'm sorry I can't update this this weekend >.< My parents are going schoolwork Natzi on me so I'm literally screwed over for the weekend doing homework, which sucks because I'm almost done with my part, which is about 5 minutes long.

You know what dissonant means right?
That the notes don't fit together, and that doesn't come from dumbing down a song.
i.e. If you have a melody on a C-scale, and put a bassline that plays in D, that sounds dissonant, and that's what Rubbertje meant. ;) Maybe you don't hear it, and there are probably a LOT who don't xD.

*Question: Did you ever have music lessons of some sort? (this is a serious question BTW)

Actually the only thing i had lessons in and still do is playing drums. But nothing that has to do with melodies and yeah i also usually hear it if something is dissonant, but it's not allways bad in my opinion it can sometimes make a song more interesting depending on the sound of the things that are dissonant, like a clear bass but a very dist. lead doesn't have to sound bad if they were dissonant to eachother.

Dissonance only sounds good in two musical styles:
IDM and Death Metal :P

And DnB I guess :)

Dissonance in other musical styles is a hard thing to pull off properly. It normally results in the song sounding very ameaturish and thrown together.

Ahhh well...that's my two cents.
