Heres what you gotta do:
1) Grab your dads shotgun
2) Aim it as the computer
3) Scream at the top of your lung "Evil!!!"
4) Shoot it. And shoot it a second time to make sure its still not alive
Oh I'm sorry you wanted to fix it?

Its not Winamp... because no media at all will play in ANY program, including Windows Media Player or recording programs that I have... God this is pissing me off...

You're a genius!
Do your sound card and speakers work correctly and are they connected?

You did try restarting it, didn't you?
If that doesn't work, try asking people that know what they're talking about. In the mean time, turn on the radio, an ipod, a cd player, etc., if you need music that bad, but i'm dubious that you do.
time to do a restore point on your cpu or try to reinstal those software.
SERVING THE CAUSE
have you tried your media in any other players? And I used to be a strictly winamp person, but i really would give iTunes a try, it hgas alot more features and alot easier to organize. It's also sleeker, simpler, cooler. It doesn't have cool visualizations like winamp though. Get iTunes!
You could really go for a chocolate chip cookie right about now...
