"The True Death Of Summers End

10:30 a.m. on Jan. 06, 2006 i am getting ready to leave for work .. an hour drive to West Long Branch. Everything is milk and cookies, while im trying to get ahold of the lady at the Adecco Office about my pay from a few previous weeks. I arrive to my job around 11:25, 5mins early and sit in the parking lot. I have worked a full complete 8hr day and some change (extra like 15-20mins over). Around 8:20 on my way out of the building i get a sudden text message from Mrs. Hallows about Ben being kicked out of the band. This all pretty much puts me in shock because i was once again left out of what i consider a pretty important "band" decision. I get in my car and immediately call her back and say "What the fuck are you talking about, this is a joke to get me back for the last one we played on you and Liz right?!" she replies with "No, Ben just called me saying Dave just kicked him out of the band", I then reply "What the fuck (yes yet again), I am going to call Ben and hear what happened". I call Ben around 8:30 and Ben confirms with me that he is no longer in Summers End. I get off the phone with him and immediately call Russo because for some reason close to 9pm Dave is still doing construction or something for him to ignore my, what i consider, important phone calls (i tried 2 or 3 times). Russo answers and tells me "Yeah man we got rid of him because we dont think Ben can handle the new stuff which is gonna be more black metal influence like Cradle Of Filth". I reply "What the fuck (yet AGAIN another time) you guys didnt even give me any kind of warning or anything, you guys making all these decisions like moving to california, figuring out for me how i will make it to shows (they wanted me to fly there and back for all shows and tours), kicking out band members" Russo replies "Dude, i tried calling you several times but you didnt answer" I reply "I was at fucking work since 11:30, i JUST got out". Russo then slips and the name Grant comes out i dont think he meant to spill the beans knowing that i am good friends with Ben and would almost immediately tell him. I go on more of a rant with Russo explaining why i am so pissed off at this point and he continuously says "yeah man, i completely understand" then out comes the "well me, john, and dave decided" and i interupt with "and where was i in this discussion". Now im trying to rush home because i am shaking in anger. i get home after about a 30min conversation with Russo. I call my friend Rich and tell him i need to go out im pissed off. he tells me "alright dude i wasnt going to go out but if you need to get out where do you want to go" i tell him "anywhere i can order alcohol". On our way to the Diner, i call Ben and he informs me that he talked to his friend Andrian and he heard from Grant that James and Grant were planning on getting together with the rest of Summers End, so Ben bets me that they are going to replace me with James. I hang up, we get to the diner and go right to the bar i order a 3 Wisemen, and a Hogarden (beer) i sit there and keep using the word fuck excessively because i cant believe it, i begin to go through my phone and call everyone and tell them whats going on. And somewhere in there Dave called me and my phone didnt ring, we leave the bar and i get home its now about 2:15am and i call my voice mail i get a message with Dave laughing with ignorance (because he is drunk like usual) and he is like "DUUUUUDE, YOUR FUCKIN FIRED" now i begin to shake in even more anger and the thoughts going through my head about 300,000,000 ways or more to kill people. I call Dave back and i ask him whats up with that and why am i fired, he started to stutter under his breath (talkin softly kinda) and i say "what the fuck" and he gets louder saying "look dude, you were gonna quit, we didnt want to do it but we thought it through and its only best for the band" i am now officially pissed the fuck off cause there goes almost 4 years of my hardwork i put forth into the band and everything, i begin to get loud and extremely bitchy with him and he starts throwing out jibber jabber that i cant understand, it was all noise. We hang up and i come in and IM John and he confirms this with me with high confidence, i begin to get extremely bitchy and say alot of shit to him that i cant remember word for word but have some ideas, i can tell you it wasnt pretty! He then tells me that he doesnt care if Summers End loses the fans that will follow me and ben because for everyone that takes our side, James Moorecroft (the rev) knows about 20 more people he can get to like them. This now pisses me off because if you talk to me or ben we know your a dedicated S.E. fan and that isnt right for someone to say they dont care about their fans, i call him a piece of shit and everything else. It is now 3:30 and the demise of what people should remember Summers End for is official, me and ben were fired from the band, due to us being ourselves and if you had met us before you know we arent egotistical people or assholes especially to our friends or fans, we do what we do for you and we did it in Summers End for you by trying our best to put on one hell of a show, we've had good and we had bad, we are only human!

Now i am not writing this to diss anyone, but so you know the TRUTH! It isnt right for the Summers End now to have the attitude and say "they dont care about the fans that will follow me and ben". Me and Ben always had a blast on stage and off while this lasted. Now are you going to continue to support this band knowing that your fan vote is worthless to them and they kicked out 2 very dedicated members of the band because one got kicked out for something as stupid as not fitting a new image and against being black metal and the other one just mad about being left out of the decision making?!

All i want to say first off is i am truly dissapointed at what happened to Josh and I in Summers End... from the very beginning of me joining this band i considered every single member not only as a friend but a BROTHER... i do appreciate all the knowledge that i have acquired from every single member of it, but i also learned what can happen to a band when theres members in it who dont give credit to anyone else besides themselves. No matter what anyone thinks, John, Dave, and Russo... i made constant efforts to write music, promote this band, set up a site with my own pocket money, gettin live recordings shot, and many others, especially talking to the fans. oh and not to mention, finding russo to be in the band!!! And no offense to john but i totally backed him up since day one, even two days before i was kicked outta the band. which is really ironic considering he made it out to me like there was no problems and i was still in the band. but obviousley considering the fact that they already have new songs written, this means that they went behind me and josh's backs and wrote music with other invidiuals and had already had this break up planned way ahead of time. i think its always wise in a band to be up front with eachother, and which i must agree we all together were not. but honestly, im not a kiss ass and neither is josh, we do what we want to do... and what we always did was in no way what so ever pushing this band towards a bad way. anything josh and i did was for this band, and personally i think john didnt like it, because he wasnt in control like he wanted to be. everything that was ever done in this band has always had to run through john, not any of us, things like cancelling tours... and not because someone broke their ankle (that was all made up) but because a member of the band was depressed and wanted to go home to his family, which josh and i still went along with because we were understanding to the matter... and personally cause i cared about the other persons feelings. and seriously i have been friends with the new members in this band for awhile, cause their good people, and i actually am the reason that they know the rest of the band... cause i introduced them... and i feel bad for what they could be possibly getting themselves into... and its funny because even when a couple of the members of summers end met james, they talked mad shit about him while i sat there and backed him up since day one. calling him a name dropper,a himsa loving faggot, a fag hot topic model and many others... and what i always said was "you know what james is cool" cause he is... and james can honestly sit there and listen to what john dave and russo have to say about me, and they can make up all the lies they want, but honestly james if you read this... ask your other friends how i backed you up while everyone one else trashed you... i loved working with nightmare incarnate, i got the opportunity to record them and i made good friends with them, even helped them with guitars on their recording... and honestly i think the fake relationship that has evolved is truly odd, and i hope everything works out for them..... as far as me and josh, were gonna start something fresh and new... and now i'll get the chance to actually sit down and write music, something ive always pushed for when i was in summers end, but the effort from everyone else wasnt all the way there at the time.... and you know what honestly i think, it was ok to kick me outta the band but JOSH!!!!! thats just insane, cause josh is the fuckin frontman and always had been, ya john claims he wrote all the music, but im pretty sure he didnt sing and write all the lyrics too, so for him to sit there and say that he did everything is obviousely not true... and even for dave, dave shreds on the drums through the whole album, but did he get credit, NOPE. which i think is just sad, a band is a band, not fuckin eddie van halen. and honestly summers end in my mind (considering i use to be a huge fan) will never be the same without josh. when i sit there and watch the haunting hallowed graves video i always remember how josh made that video as sick as it is, and all you kids know it!!! and i think that i achieved a great thing outta this whole experience with summers end by just meeting josh alone.... so ya, theres many more things that i have to say and that i will say, but im tired on the subject for right now, please respond to this everyone... and just remember which members of this band took the time of the day to talk to you!!!! and remember what i always say and what i made up, not summers end, STAY DEAD FUCKERS!!!!!"

Summers End was my favorite.
So they go the path of In Flames (BTW, I don't think In Flames learned that their new shit sucks, just look at their new single). I am really sorry to hear about it. Send my regards to both Ben and Josh.
