Actually, I don't know about now, but bestiality used to be legal in some states. It was very recent when California banned that type of thing. You just don't hear about it as much because there's far less people attracted to animals. Which is just fucking weird.

Let them get married. As everyother post I've read, as long as they don't bother me about it let them be happy. I also agree government should play no role in marriage. As long as they are breaking any laws(Besides marriage laws of course) let people do what makes them feel gitty. No matter how wierd they are.

I'm not gay nor do I know anyone gay, so I'm gonna say it should be allowed. It doesn't hurt anyone.

I was thinking about this the other day and when it comes down to it, for most it seems to be a religious issue. That's what most politicians say when questioned about it. The thing about it is that it's more than the holy thing -- it's about legal rights as well. The constitution says that no laws exist regarding establishment of religion or free practice thereof. "Separation of church and state" is a concept and label, not the wording in the constitution.

America likes to tell its citizens that it's the most free nation in the world. This isn't exactly true. If I remember correctly it was number 22 or number 24 on the list of the most free nations as published by ... some organization that researches that stuff. For freedom of political beliefs it ranked as a 1, but for civil rights it ranked as a 2, which put it behind several other countries.

Anyways, sure, let them get married if they wish. As long as they don't go infront of me and start having sex then I'm fine. I feel weird about it because I just can't imagine men on men and women on women. Personally it makes me feel uncomfortable. But it shouldn't stop anyone from being happy. If they're happy, then I feel fine.

The tax break that comes with a civil marriage, along with the monies that would be used to draw up legal papers to mimic a marriage would be used to buy things.

As to the original post, why should gay marraiges be banned, or atleast civil unions. in what way does it harm u or society at large for 2 ppl of the same sex to be together? its that kind of idnorance and bigotry that has many countrys in the state they are today.
