Run more, work abs less. Overworking the abs is worse than not working them at all. If you want abs you need under 10% body fat, and if you want NICE abs you need like 5% body fat(unhealthy, but most body builders/actors have it anyway).
On top of that you need to do upper and lower abs, and obliques to get any real definition. you should look online, or in a workout magazine for ideas on different ab exercises.

50 Push-ups a day and 50 sit-ups is all I do... Along with sports.

I walk to the train station instead of getting the bus, and i take my dog out twice a day.
And i don't eat shit, like McDonald's etc.
Im not exactly ab-tacular, but it helped me lose my chubby 13 year old look.
I'd like to work on abs soon.
