When you sit at your computer watchin the movies and playing your games, sometimes suddenly you desk and computer starts shaking!
One of these forces causing this is known as a "P" wave (primary wave)

My question to you is: Describe what happens to the velocity of a P wave as it travels deeper into the liqid outer core...

Then brace yourself for a secondary wave. Not as strong, but still can do some damage.

Obviously you're talking about earthquakes. Depending on how deep the wave was, it would make the ground shake. The deeper, the less shaky.

So your saying the deeper it gets the less the force is, but when it his the liquid part (outer core is made out of liquid) since its easier to ripple than solid, would it be amplified? or something

The deeper the wave is, the less it will shake on the surface. The wave will probably get smaller as it goes up, and just make a small ripple.

If you''re talking about a P wave in water, t would depend on how high the ground rose, but I don't think it would amplify.

Well, "P-waves" aka transverse waves, have their velocity increase as the medium which they transmit through becomes denser. and since the outer core is denser than the molten layers above it.........
also, i'm assuming that you need this for h/w, so if a question comes up asking if the p-waves velocity increases while entering the solid inner core, it's a trick question, because transverse waves can only transmit through gas and liquid mediums

appologies if this really is a question about earthquakes and not just waves in general, because in that case, i'm making an ass of myself

So I'm basically awesome.

Well, the speed of light is about 300,000 Kilometers per hour. Does this answer your question? Or should I go to my huge knowladge in Chimestry? Molecules are made out of atoms.

Your theory is flawed, we all know bacon gets too crispy when you cook it in the oven, as for the secondary waves, the taco/Jew ratio is lower then the needed inital conditions.

What a foolish theory. Everyone knows that the bacon is healthier when he is without oil, thus should be cooked in the oven. As for the secondary waves, the Tomato\Potato ratio is lower than the needed initial condition.
Jeez, you are so stupid to come up with this stupid theory! >:(
