i remember a while back in the good ol' days one that i got some sreious recognition for even years after.

I had a spanish teacher who was a real fat ugly bitch. she would hold us after class late every single day and i kept having to run to my next class. she would stand by the door and if one of us even moved an inch she would yell "SIT DOWN!"
one day as always the bell rang and she told everybody to sit down, but there were people at her desk so she couldn't get to the door. I took the opportunity to walk out and run. so i get up, say "fuck this!" and bolt out the door before she knows what's happening.
everyone saw me do it and they wouldn't dare move out of their seat to do the same. i'm out ad down the hall before the door even shuts back. all of a sudden i hear "BERNAAARRRDOOOOOO!!!!"(bernardo was my retarded "spanish name" given to me at the beginning of the year)
5 minutes later i talked to the guy that sat next to me n class, he said "damn that took some guts, by the way she said 'if anyone sees bernardo tell him he has a detention!'"
i had to do some serious avoiding to do that day, but everyone in that class loved me for doing it. i don't even see why it's such a big deal, guess all the kids in there were the timid over-achiever type.

I got a detention for forgetting like, HALF A STUPID SOCIAL STUDIES QUESTION. My teacher is kinda harsh. I had to stay in and try to finish it. >_<

I think it was seventh grade, because since then I've been going to a school where I can't get one. The school itself is harder. But meh.

At brunch one day, me and 3 other friends were hanging by this dumpster area and there was a bunch of wood behind them and we just liked to lounge around and build stuff. One of the yard duties caught us. We falled her fat lady sings for some reason :D. My friends started running around like idiots, so I just followed them. We ran about 50 feet twards this Portable area (not bathrooms)

We ran around it and thought we lost her. Then we came out between 2 and were caught. She said we were gonna get suspended, but I was friends with the principal and was just let off with a warning. I think we got cans, but I'd still class that as a detention, since I don;t get to enjoy my brunch.

We continued to hang out there, and were never caught again.

Getting into a fight

Well, actually, I'm not the one who got the detention, but it's funny how it turned out. My friend and I had arrived in class at the same time, which was about 30 seconds late. Now, my friend happens to be African American, so he was the one who served the detention and not me. I protested but my friend told me to hold back. I feel really guilty for it too. Racism is just too common here.

I punched somebody right in the face, he doubledared me to punch him since he was making me look like an idiot, 3 Days detention.

I slammed the door of the toilet against somebodys nose, fun.

What was the teachers reaction?
Besides on the holding back part?

i have had tonnes of detentions for just forgetting my homework the teachers should just get a life!! but its good coz i just wait and clear my detentions at the same time as my mates.

I'm lucky, we don't get detentions in Sweden = P Not that would've gotten one anyway...

The last detention I had was three years ago. It was for not having the other sock for PE. I didn't fucking notice I had one sock missing, so the PE teacher decided to be a twat and gave me a detention.

I had 20 minutes detention, because I put my feed on the chair when the teacher told me not to.
That was stupid lol.

Mostly for skipping the odd lesson or not doing homework, most people in my school don't get caught doing anything really bad, like drugs or alcohol despite there being infinite amount of CCTV cameras, i think the teachers just turn a blind eye most of the time because they can't be arsed.

OK well, I get lunchtime detentions all the time. For stuff like, not bothering with homework for the first/second time, eating in front of the teacher in lessons, not getting haircut...etc.

But its all starting to add up now - I have one of those gay, long afterschool detentions because I didn't bother to hand in my homework for the...fourth time or something? I thought since we have halfterm now, she wouldn't care, but obviously I was wrong...

I called a teacher something simular to what you would call a dumbass - It is different in Germany - and that got me a one hour detention after school

I don't get caught... Or I just get warnings or whatever. My school also isn't quick to give detentions. Most of the times you just get some kind of punishment, or a note in your agenda for your parents to sign.

So this year I haven't had any detentions yet. I did get caught making a fire in class though. It was this flammable liquid which I sprayed on the ground.

Yet again, just some warning.

One time I ripped like this HUGE boner in class and everyone could see it okay, and the teacher was like "TIMMY, ARE YOU AWARE THAT BRINGING GUNS TO SCHOOL IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE?" And I said ma'am I did not bring a gun to school, and then that hot asian exchange student bent over and I could see her boobs through her blouse (first time for me, this was like back in 11th grade so...) and my boner got double ripped and the teacher (Mrs. jenkins AGAIN) was like "TIMMY IF YOU DON'T GET THAT AK-47 OUT OF YOUR PANTS THEN I AM GOING TO HAVE TO APPLY A FULL NELSON TO IT", and I didn't want a full Nelson on my Captain Ahab but then Lolita and Tanka Ray the trailor trash chicks took some exstacy and started making out and flicking thier beans on the teachers desk while she was looking at me and then Mrs. Jenkins said "TIMMY THAT PATRIOT MISSLE LOGGED IN YOUR LOWER ABDOMINAL REGION IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL STATUTE BLUH BLUH BLUH".

I got detention so bad that day.

I was a good kid in school, I hardly ever got them, I olny remeber once for
defending myself against the school bully.

I was a decent kid, a socail outcast in primary, but none the less, not trouble.

What do you huys have to do in detention? All we had to do is some homework which suited me fine. Also we can listen to music if we like so really detention in my school is a piece o' cake.

In primary it was sitting in the cornet of a classroom staring at the wall for
all of lunch.
In high school it was sitting in a class room copying out the school rules, while
noticing that you didn't break any.
