David Firth: Genius or Disturbed? 2005-10-19 11:15:47 Reply

Hey everyone, this is my first post so if I'm doing something wrong, just tell me. But I thought that I might start off my posts here with one about one of my favourite artists: David Firth.

My question is whether you believe that David is a genius with very clever cartoons or is he just messed in the head, creating some of the oddest stuff you've ever seen?

My opinion is genius with a tinge of insane maniac that is, so far, suppressed from emerging fully. There is just too much good stuff in his cartoons to not call him innovative and a brilliant artist.

What do you think?

You don't need to be distrubed to come up with stuff like that. you just have to set your mind to it. i can come up with disturbed things like him and that before i saw his flashes. he just has the tallend to transform those ideas in to flash, a great gift. and he does it so well, and thats what makes him one of my favs.

u don't have to be sick for those thoughts, only thinking about them to much can get you a bit stuck in to them..

either way you put it hes an amazing flash animator with an incredibly original style. the horror flicks are hilarious. and theyre not intended to be that way. but there really is no other way to react.

if you define disturbed a stretch of knowledge of what other flash artists dare not touch then hes disturbed and a genius

acid isnt as cool as shroomin. atleast it gets out of your system when you shroom, and its a little cheaper. more fun, too.

hes a very clever man to use all those surealist ideas in his movies, however i imagine he'd be rather pretentious if met in person.

It's a very thin line between both, but i prefer to call him a talented artist, that's slightly disturbed. But in reality, he's no different from the friends i hang out with.

ALL HAIL DAVID FIRTH!! Me and my buddy all through summer would get drunk and then when we came home for the night drunk out of our minds watch Fat Pie vids, ps. If anyone wants a real cool song go to the fat-pie website, and go under mailbag then go to where it says something like "instead of responding to this in my usuall way i decided to respond using song" helarious!

He friggen rules! In the league of Dan and Weebl. He's an intelectually inclined artist with an artistic flair that lingers between the realms of genius and disturbed... Whatever that all means.
