GIF pics

Does anyone knows of any gif compressor that doesn't diminutes much the image quality? It's for my profile pic (check it if you want), it looks bad quality because I had to reduce and compress it several times because it didn't fit the 40kbs limit. Can anyone help?

I can't even post it here because it's 65kbs, so does ayone can really help me. This is not (ok a bit) to get my popularity up, if you want I'll click your profiles too. I don't really mind with it.

an easy way to reduce file size is to make the image itself smaller

also, reducing the number of frames will make the size go down
so remove any non essential frames, duplicate frame, or frames that do not show nearly any change to the previous or following frame

all gif programs are similar in their compression results

no matter what program it is, if you compress it to an extent, the quality will go down as well

THAT GIF SUCKS AND IT IS NOT THE QUALITY THAT IS DOING THE SUCKING!

You can get really nice Gifs with Flash or Photoshop.

First of all, I didn't said I was an expert in gif animating, so I know it sucks, don't need to remind me, wanna see you make a high quality gif with only 40kbs as limit file size.

In response to the others, I'm using Paint Shop Pro 7.4 for making the sprites and Animator Shop 3 for making the animations, both from Jasc soft. Inc.

And I reduced the gif almost 10 frames so it got small enough to fit in the profile. I also needed to reduce the size so the 53kbs reduced to 37. If I deleted anymore frames it would get worster. It even got worster because I reduced it to 110x110 and the site needed to strecht it so it could fit the 150x150. I made it originaly that size but it was 63kbs.

But thanks anyway, I'm gonna try some other methods later.

you can only do so much if you are limited to a specific file size

with only 30k to work with, I had to shrink it alot

I noticed the first time I saw it... Just one question, hose last three frams of it, after the portal rankings there are a picture I don't understand, the NG logo and like a god or something. Those aren't really portal rankings... are they?

Sorry dude, it wasn't on purpose, I'm not english or american so my english can suck a bit sometimes. I know it's bad-worse-worst (now, I checked my book, hehe :D).
