So, I just got a phone call today, from my employer. They told me that I don't have to go into work tomorrow, because we are going on strike to support the teachers.
I've never been on strike before, this is definitely not MY choice.
But there you have it. I'm suppose to go downtown tomorrow and sign in, at 9:00 AM...you'd think they'd at least let us strikers sleep in eh?

9AM? That's outragous. If I were you I wouldn't stand for it. You should strike.

I thought strikes were about what you believed in, what you support and etc, it wasn't exactly your choice...
Well good luck with that anyway.

I'd strike every day, but then, there'd be a strike.
Give my thoughts form and make them look insightful.

Well, our union decided to strike, and because of that, we are all stuck. It's funny, because one of our lifeguards is a teacher, and he was picking up extra hours at the pool, and now he's on strike at both his jobs.
Strikes have to be a joint thing, whoever said something about beliefs, so if for example, I didn't believe in doing something, and I went on strike, well, I'd be fired for not showing up to work. Strikes have to be approved by some form of government, I believe.
I'm pretty sure this is a strike that isn't supported by the government though. (The teachers one I mean)
Oh well.

just to show them how much you care.

Ok student, just because my mommy and daddy don't pay for my schooling doesn't make me a peasant.
