4.07 / 5.00 10,082 ViewsI am writing this all out again now because my firefox window just closed.
I got that message when I clicked on firefox asking if I wanted to use my normal profile (which has all my bookmarks, password managers, right options set etc) or the default, it said I cant use my normal one because it is in use.
I typed firefox.exe -profile manager into my run window and got the message up again, I pressed ctrl alt del to see what applications was running, but firefox exe didn’t show up.
So please help me here people, you may know if you are a firefox user, quite a few people get this Ive heard.

Hmm, how do you do that?
I used to have that a lot. Every once in a while all my bookmarks and setting = gone.
But it's stopped happening now for some reason...
It happens to me but does not bother me, I just delete my profile.
Make sure to remove all other profiles from...
C:\Documents and Settings\****\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

When that happens, hit ctrl+alt+delete, look for firefox.exe and click end process. The start Firefox as normal.
50% of all statistics are made up 90% of the time.
You should periodically save your bookmarks. BOOKMARKS > MANAGE BOOKMARKS... and File > Export and save to desktop or somewhere.
Genius.

Remove the Firefox Prog. And use the Re-installer icon.

Yea I did that, firefox exe aint running though
Switch drives then. Local Disk to :D, or maybe :D to :E
Did you go to the applications instead of the processes? That could have easily been your problem, just go to the processes and end it from there.
Did this to me twice. Here's the solution.
Ctrl+alt+del > highlight 'firefox.exe' > End Process
You're internet is not broken. Firefox is not broken. That is all.
OH SHI-
One thing I forgot to mention, when you end the process, start up Firefox again. You don't have to delete any profiles or Firefox itself. So don't panic.
Everything should work all fine and dandy again and all your bookmarks, themes, and settings will still be intact. Kbai.
