I am sure there are members that did nothing against newgrounds to the point of others, but they still failed to distance themselves from the group once they found out.
Lookie, what I see here is some people banned for seemingly no reason, or because they're associated with the Star Syndicate which is no reason; that's unjust no matter how you look at it.
There are no arguments related to this regarding BSODs or mass voting.

This too will pass.
Memento mori
I wonder if any of you realize that these debates only serve to thoroughly cement the Star Syndicate in Newgrounds' history.
Swings against what?
There's no argument here.
F00D got banned but 2 minutes after he accused an author of stealing some art from another animator (in this case, Synj).
I was there when it happened.
F00D was right.
The guy HAD stolen Synj's backrounds.
That and F00D has never done anything wrong here.
Neither have I.
Neither have alot of people who find the SS funny.
But no one cares about that.
You all just keep reiterating your same points about "mass voting" and "chromes code" and "they were warned" and "blueberry muffins" and "richard gere"
But those dont matter here.
What matters is that a GOOD flash author (named F00D) who was doing the right thing in trying to ursurp a hack who was stealing art was banned by someone simply because F00D helped out in some dailytoons. Clearly whoever banned him didnt even look to see what he was doing, ala the finding the backrounds stealer.
And tarring the SS with the same brush isn't on either, when it's just not fucking like that. That's not how anything works. Most people are in there for fun and perfectly wholesome reasons; perhaps some of the jokes might have been cruel like making you all think IWP was dead, but c'mon it's all for fun and it got resolved quickly. There's nothing particularly horrible about most SS actions and it shouldn't be claimed so.
A mod or mods may well have found some reason to ban the members from reviewing and posting, in which case I invite it to be pointed out; from all the evidence so far it doesn't look like such.

I'm a member because it gives me a chance to produce no-pressure Flash, as a break from my 'serious' stuff. Like SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY SAID, not all Syndicate members are involved in mass-voting or mass-reviewing, some of us are just in it for the fun (and drinking punch)
If not, why did he remain aapart of it?
If he had a good reason, then I admit this was rather harsh
I'm sure they do, and I won't argue against that, but they were given warning... they could have started a new group, but they didn't. I would love to be able to relax and just make mediocre to poor flash movies... but that isn't the only thing the ss was about.

I like to believe that I know what I am talking about, and generally I do, but I will admit when I am wrong. I currently have a better argument than you. I could go on, but we all know you don't care and all that was, was a cop out of actually making an argument. Such as the "flash by <insert name here>: 0" remark. Quite simply you are a pathetic debater, even though your talents at masturbating are probably beyond mine.
Not generalising a group of people was one of the lessons we were meant to learn from the Nazis. I'm not going to compare anyone to Hitler at the moment, but yeah, the point remains.

Practice makes perfect.
Read my previous post which you seemed to miss by the way, he-who-rules-at-debating-apparently.
gumOnShoe, I already tried to put that Sixstar quote in context. Are you just too stupid to understand me?
In any case, completely disregarding what gumOnShoe said:
1. That BSOD thing WASNT REAL. The thread that claimed it was has since been deleted. I don't know why, it might have been because the BSOD project wasn't real, or it could be for other reasons.
2. It was NOT the leaders of the SS who plotted most of the problems that were attributed to us. j00bie isn't a founding member. Neither is Chrome
3. This thread is about mod abuse.
As for the mod abuse, it's really nothing new. What's new now is that our members that I do not consider to be radicals of any kind are getting bogus bans. I mean, the bullshit bans I got on the_star_syndicate were tolerable, but 30 days? And for what?

Meh the Star S did a lot of crap they shouldn't have done, and I belive they were warned.
But as for F00d, if you are telling the truth, find him and tell him to appeal his ban. You could also start a petion. I might sign if this is the whole story

Did wade warn them? (yes/no)
There are no arguments related to this regarding BSODs or mass voting.
But I garantee that is what was going on behind the scenes, even though you refuse to associate it. Do you not remember the 50 page topic, since removed. I guarantee that they did not just dismiss the whole thing. They simply found a more sound way of reacting. They gave them warning, then they acted.

Ok, it was funny for them, it created a lot of spam, and it didn't break the rules. But if the bsod has nothing to do with that, neither does the iwp incident. But every thing in the past effects the future, I'm sure you agree on that. Some of them are there for the fun, but they were given the option and the time to leave. Some of them did, and some of them didn't. The ones who didn't now are dealing with their decision.
A mod or mods may well have found some reason to ban the members from reviewing and posting, in which case I invite it to be pointed out; from all the evidence so far it doesn't look like such.
The review bans had to have had basis or they wouldn't have happened. Perhaps the site was looking to ban them. Just because they found a violation in their search doesn't mean that the violation didn't occur.

Of course we shouldn't generalize, but some left and some didn't. Thats a point you'd have a hard time disputing, they had the option. They chose.
And I still don't see you making a comment on what SixStar said. That, as I said, would be enough to result in his ban and anyone associated. He is the leader. You can't join a group and sit by and not expect punishment. Group objective, group suffers.
Who gave out the bans? Was it Wade and the admins, or was it the mods?

Petitions online rarely work, sadly.
They are a good idea, but noone takes them seriously.
Look up "uncancel invader zim petition" in google and you will see what I mean.
There are hundreds of petitions to change things, but they dont work because this is the internet. :-(
Good the SS was stupid, I hope they ban the new group "Torch Team" they just about got rid of the Barney bunch, too many shitty groups.
Hmm, they talk about people caring too much about the internet, but when they are going to extra lengths to mess with a site and people through the internet and flash..
Ironic.
F00D did nothing to deserve that ban, I love how no moderator signed the message. If members of a group get banned for being in one, it looks like the CC, GG and LL need to all be banned for, the most part, voting and reviewing high on their friend's submissions that they enjoyed. Their opinion means so much less than the angry Level 9 13 year olds searching 20 million times for hentai that make up the vast majority of the community.
Thats true man, it is unfair. I dont know why the star syndicate is constantly being hated on. I mean sometimes they deserve it obviously but often people like xtil can make good movies. Like his daily toon on Daily Day was actually pretty good, i have to admit. I think xtil is the most respected member, because he always has great submissions...or for the most part. Just because someone is a part of the star syndicate doesnt mean they should be banned....unless they break the rules :P

How the Hell do you know that they sat by and let it happen? How do you know they weren't disgusted by this and were forever preaching to Chrome and j00bie on AIM about the horrors of what they'd done?
Anyway, the 'punish the group' philosophy disgusts me, and I find it amazing people preach it here and I hope they don't preach it in daily life. Punishing innocent members of the group is exactly that - punishing innocent members. Xtil, too, after his Dailytoon, under the ethos of 'punish the fucking group the bastards' - bleh.
Whether Wade warned them or not is irrelevant - Wade can't have seriously expected an established group to disband over his screenshots that proved nothing. Banning members for nothing, just because they were a part of the group - stuff like this would've killed the Clock Crew, and some of their members broke rules too.

please link me to an instance of when we did that.
I don't want a statement, I want a link.
Power abuse really isn't nothing new here. Though it is a shame that some users were banned just for associating themselves with this fine group of flash artists who have really done nothing wrong. There's lack of proof everywhere, not only on the issue of mass voting, but on the issue of the fake BSOD cartoon as well.

My god... this is pretty funny reading, i take it by this thread that the SS met their purpose once again :D many angry ppl around. Grerrr. Grrrrrrrrrr, i say. GRR!
Hihihihi.
Wakka wakka
What does that mean? Does it mean we will not see another Dailytoon collabs? I was beginning to like those Flash movies. In fact, it inspires some people, like myself, or the other clubs, like the Clock Crew's Warpigs, to create a collab of their own. Also, I took a-liking for one member. Who is that star? Well, if that member cannot use the star name, "DuckShit" may be the subsititute.
Sonic Wii Preloader!
Pro-Pokemon Club/TJPPC - Where I love Mew and members know it!
My art - I do art well, you twirps!
a thought!
Can mods change thread titles here?
Someone change the name to "Star Syndicate: Totally Spies!"
So we can all have a hearty laugh, play games, drink juice, and eat poopies.

He was actually in Krinkel's favorite authors list at one point when he was known as d4rksh07
Oh yes, Zekey's idea is excellent.
